More than one pet must be communicated with us for consideration The space Our 17th century renovated Mas or farmhouse is set in 2/3rds of an acre amidst orchards, on the road between Avignon and St-Rémy-de-Provence ideally situated for exploring Provence. Our outbuildings have been converted to comfortable, fully equipped self-catering Gîtes (guest houses) and our gardens are landscaped to include a 12 x 6m swimming pool, summer house, a pond and waterfall, and secluded seating areas for the use of our guests. CASA DORA - Totally rebuilt "porcherie" of 65m2. A ground floor gite with private terrace for outside dining shaded by a banksia rose & one of our many grapevines for you to enjoy. Open plan Living/dining/kitchen with windows opening out onto terrace. The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hobs, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster, etc. Radio/tape/CD player, IPOD docking station with radio and alarm clock. TV with DVD player & UK & French free to air TV channels. Large main double bedroom with queen size bed and closets with private bathroom. Second bedroom is slightly smaller has 2 single beds with built in closet and private bathroom. All linens and bathroom towels are supplied. The laundry facilities are shared with the other units. Own gas BBQ. Large communal Pool & landscaped gardens shared with other guests. Guest access At 500 meters from the village of Rognonas and all its services, you are at an easy walk or drive from four bakeries, one grocery store, two "traiteurs", two bars and three restaurants as well as all the other conveniences of an active village. The city of Avignon's exciting downtown itself is but a seven-minute drive away. Other things to note The city of Avignon is a ten minute drive away. For the non drivers, there is regular daily bus service into Avignon and the surrounding towns of Arles, Chateaurenard and St Rémy. For the explorers, the Luberon and its famous villages is 30 minutes away to the east while the north offers you Orange and Chateauneuf du Pape within the same amount of time. The Pont du Gard and Nimes are within 45 minutes to the west while the south gives you St Rémy, les Alpilles and its picturesque villages as well as Arles, Tarascon and Baucaire within 20 minutes. For the more adventurous, a 60 to 90 minute drive will take you to Marseille or the beautiful village of Cassis for a dip in the sea. The Camargue, with Les Saintes Maries de la Mer and Aigues Mortes, is also within an hour's drive.
