Welcome to Brooks Cabin, named for our Brooks ancestors who acquired the property in the late 1940s. A beautiful custom built 1900s log home, newly remodeled. Hot tub, firepit, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, full bath with laundry. Surrounded by farm animals on a Working farm, you’ll have the chance to see chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, barn cats and our livestock guardian dogs. It’s only minutes from the Appalachian Trail, in a spectacular and unique location with easy road access. The space Brooks Cabin has a stunning covered porch with dining table and seating area plus a large screened in porch so you can enjoy the great outdoors without the bugs! Enjoy our large patio area by the firepit or our beautiful deck with a private hot tub and outdoor shower while looking at gorgeous mountain views. Plan on outdoor grilling with your choice of gas or charcoal grills, (Gas provided, bring your own charcoal). Original hardwood floors throughout the cabin and comfortably sleeps 7 guests with 5 beds in 3 bedrooms. Our kitchen is fully stocked with full size equipment, K-cup and regular coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and Fresh Farm Eggs. Relax in our cozy living room with a good book, Window AC unit (summer), TV time or family game night. Your fur-babies (pets) are welcome too. All bed linens and towels are provided. Easy car and motorcycle parking in a large area for 6 vehicles, large trucks and small trailers too (no transfer truck access). Need more space or looking for something a little smaller? Ask us about The Rosemary Cabin or Sage RV located just down the road at our plant nursery. Guest access Guest will have full access to the entire cabin, porches, patios, firepits, private hot tub and yard space! Guest will not be allowed to enter the fenced in areas (with the livestock) without a escort. There are also two detached garages and a old bus that will not be accessible. Other things to note This is a working farm with live animals. At times they can be very noisy, have funny smells and do odd things. We will be at the barns caring for the livestock twice a day and more if needed, you are welcome to set up a time to join us for a meet and greet.
