The space Standing on the log beamed covered porch of the Dogwood Cabin, you know you have made the right choice. As you relax in your hickory rockers, enjoy the best view the property has to offer while taking in the idyllic country scene complete with a tranquil pond and the hillside farmland that makes Holmes county so special. The leaded glass window in the entry door provides your first glimpse of this quaint and cozy standalone cabin. The comfortable living area boasts a large gas fireplace encased in a massive stone hearth that runs from floor to ceiling. The cozy loveseat and oversized chair make for good spots to nap by the fire, read a good book, or watch the 50-inch Roku Smart TV. Split log planking, and real log beams, provide the perfect surroundings as you enjoy your breakfast at the Amish-made live edge table for two. This room has its own heating and air conditioning unit to maximize your comfort. Kitchen: The kitchen area is home to a full-size refrigerator with a freezer, and an oven complete with a 4-burner stovetop. There are ample pots and pans if you feel like making your favorite vacation meal, or a microwave oven for heating up the leftovers from one of our amazing restaurants in town. The extra-deep sink and rugged pine cupboards provide added charm. A toaster and drip coffee maker round out the appliances which are at your disposal. This cabin features a premium king-size bed mounted on a pine slat wood base. The windows on two walls allow plenty of light in the daytime with privacy shades for the night. Quarried stone surrounds you as you relax in the jetted tub in your own intimate jacuzzi nook. The shaded window is high enough to provide privacy but allows for a moonlit ambiance to enhance your experience. Bathroom: Your bathroom is equipped with a walk-in glass shower large enough for 2 people. Notice the unique stone basin above the all-wood counter. A hairdryer and all the amenities you need to get your day off to a great start are right there for your convenience. When it is time for supper, throw some meat on the charcoal grill and prepare a meal at the picnic table next to your cabin. As daylight turns to dusk, light a fire in your fire ring and toast some s’mores before you head back into the luxury of your cabin. Guest access The entire standalone cabin is yours to enjoy. You may also walk the paved pathways of our campus and hike up the scenic county road to town or down the same road to explore nearby fields, creeks, and wooded areas.
