Description

Captain's view (previously S1) At the top: The attic apartment in the Haus Seeblick is as representative as it is cozy with its 52 square meters. And it goes even higher: In the apartment, a ladder leads to the converted roof directly under the gable – for all those who want to be all alone at the top. When you step onto your own 25-square-meter roof terrace, you'll know why we named this apartment Kapitänsblick. It's a dream view!! The space Aparthotel Pension & Restaurant Haus Windhook Anything is possible, but some things are a little harder. Grandpa Karl Mittelbach often said that and his saying lives on in our aspiration to make everything possible for our guests. Haus Windhook Aparthotel, guesthouse and restaurant is now run by the second generation of the Mittelbach family. The third generation is already in the starting blocks, which makes us very proud. In addition to the Windhook house, which houses the restaurant and three apartments, the ensemble includes the Seeblick house with five apartments, the Irmi house with three apartments and four vacation homes. The house Irmi was the dacha in GDR times, that's what a weekend cottage of Karl and Irmi Mittelbach was called. House Irmi is somewhat hidden in the dunes. In the three apartments you can be wonderfully alone, ideally for two. Today's Haus Seeblick was built in 1995. At the same place there was already a house until shortly before the end of the Second World War, but it was burned down by Russian soldiers in the last days of the war. If it had not been for the foundation, one would not have been allowed to build so close to the sea today. Our guests love it because you can feel the sand under your feet after a few steps and have a wide view of the Baltic Sea on the dune head. Windhook House itself looks back on a long history that dates back to the beginnings of the 19th century. The Mittelbach family bought it after the Second World War from the previous owner, a military doctor named Dr. Berg, who had served in the German colonies during the imperial period. After the construction of the wall in 1961, the house was expropriated, placed under state administration and renamed Kleiner Käptn Brass. The original owners were not even allowed to enter it. Only after the reunification, at the end of 1990, was the Mittelbach family able to acquire the house with land against many obstacles. After extensive renovation work, the next generation Mittelbach, Karl and his wife Marita, opened on June 9, June 9, 1991, their completely renovated house Windhook as a guest house and restaurant. The restaurant soon made a name for itself for its home-style cuisine. Our vacation homes in the garden of Haus Windhook are ideal for families with small children who want to fulfill their dream of a Baltic Sea vacation in their own home. In a colorful neighborhood, things can get colorful here. Each house has its own sunny spot outside the door, a large furnished sun terrace in the dunes is there for everyone. In a few minutes you are at the Baltic Sea, hot tub and sauna are around the corner and the restaurant Windhook in the neighborhood.
