Well cottage

Well Cottage is a one bedroom cottage with a lovely bright triple aspect sitting room / kitchen / dining room. It is a former well house and pump room and sits above a 200' capped well. With the addition of a bed settee in the sitting room it can easily sleep up to 4 guests. The prices quoted are per night only relating to short breaks, so please contact me for cheaper weekly prices. The space Well Cottage is a historic 18th century cottage in peaceful surroundings which is perfect for a relaxing break, and with guaranteed parking right next to the cottage, it makes your stay even better. The cottage consists of a surprisingly spacious kitchen, dining room and sitting room, and being triple aspect two windows overlook the spacious front garden and parking area, with the third window just overlooking the garden area to the rear. Off of this room is the bedroom which is a former pump room, and although it has no windows it benefits from a positive venting system which constantly brings in fresh air from outside the cottage although still keeping it warm. The door has been replaced with a heavy curtain, so that the room is pleasantly relaxing and dark enough when pulled across to be able to sleep, but also allowing the fresh air from the venting system to flow freely. Having 3 large mirrors in the bedroom and delicate pale green panelled walls, the room is very relaxing. The ensuite off of the bedroom has recently been totally replaced with a walk in double shower, new lighting and flooring, a toilet that looks like a piece of art, and a new large mirror with surrounding lights. The cottage is very flexible being all on one level and is perfect for a variety of guests. The utilities, bedding, towels and tea towels are all included in the price. The cottage has been rated as a Gold 3 Star from Visit England (quality in tourism). Guest access There is a large (tennis size) hard surface play area with a basket ball net, which is perfect for getting rid of excess energy or just having a kick around. There is also a lovely seating area outside the cottage which is perfect for alfresco dining, or just chilling. Other things to note At Manston Court we have 3 holiday properties. Annie's Cottage sleeps 2 - 3 when an additional portable bed is placed in the bedroom for a child. However there is also a bed settee in the cottage which can cater for additional guests. Well Cottage sleeps 2 - 4 (with a bed settee) and The Chapel sleeps 6 - 10, (with a bed settee and additional portable beds) so if you would like to come and stay here you can also bring family and friends (if you have to!). It's perfect for family gatherings and celebrations, or just to have a memorable family holiday where everyone can be catered for. Also there are lots of free events during the year in Thanet from Dickens Week in July and Folk Week in August both in Broadstairs, to international volley ball tournaments on the beach at Margate, just to mention a few.
