Our central living room is the perfect place to gather as a family for movie night or to play a game together. On-site is a small fishing and swimming lake, basketball & volleyball courts, a picnic area, children's playground, and a sledding hill in the winter. Pinecrest Lake is 15 minutes away for hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, horseback riding, and during the summer months, outdoor movies at the Pinecrest Amphitheater. Twain Harte is 12 mins away - a sweet town with a variety of restaurants, shaved ice, mini-golf, and a community pool. Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is 20 mins away - 67 trails, 12 lifts More close-by winter fun includes Ice skating at Long Barn and Leland High Sierra Snowplay. You can experience the Gold Rush era at Colombia State Park, 30 minutes away. Black Oak Casino is 15 minutes away for gambling, bowling, arcades, live music, and great food options. All in all, you can have as much relaxation or adventure as you want, and we hope you love your stay. Guest access You will have private access to the entire cabin during your stay. You will also have access to the small, on-site lake for fishing and there is a family friendly 'beach' swimming area on the lake as well as a children's playground and sledding hill in the winter season. Other things to note * Please note - there are a number of external stairs that you will need to climb to reach the cabin. In the winter, we do our best to keep these stairs cleared and de-iced but in the case of big storms, this is not always possible. There is salt provided as well as shovels under the stairs by the generator. * The cabin is located in the midst of the Stanislaus National Forest. Our cleaning and maintenence friends do regularly clear the deck area of pine needles and debris, but during certain seasons, it is not possible to keep those areas 100% clear at all times. A rechargable blower is provided in the laundry area should you need to refresh the area to enjoy the outdoor seating. *During Winter Months, *CHAINS* may be required to travel on Highway 108 to the park and to enter and exit the park. There are no guaranteed tow services around the park so please prepare in advance and during icy and inclement weather, drive slow. * The mezzanine loft area is not suitable for young children unsupervised. We do provide a stair gate for our toddler guests, which is stored in the area under the staircase inside the cabin.
