Ca del Duca, historical building. In the heart of Venice, the apartment overlooks the Grand Canal a few meters from Campo S. Stefano, Accademia and Piazza S.Marco. A beautiful lounge with paintings, objects and furniture from the 18th century will take you back in time. The view is one of the most beautiful in Venice, from the windows you can admire the Accademia bridge and the galleries, and the splendid Palaces of this part of the Grand Canal. The space In addition to the living room and a studio with a grand piano, the apartment has a bedroom and a bathroom with all the facilities. In the studio you will find the breakfast corner. We also have a space where the guests can leave their luggage if they have an early check-in or a late check-out. The foundation of Cà del Duca dates back to 1400 when the Duke of Milan Francesco Sforza decided to build a palace in Venice to extend his political influence. The project was later blocked by the Republic and the construction was finished in 1500. Of the original project there are still the " bugnato" and a corner column of the great architect Filarete. In 1500 the painter Tiziano Vecellio had his studio in this apartment and in 1600 it was the seat of the Spanish embassy which planned the " Congiura degli spagnoli " against the Serenissima republic .
