It is also just minutes away from UF campus and Shands Hospital. With 1 King bedroom and 1 Queen bedroom- perfect for families or for friends sharing a home. We also provide a queen-sized air mattress with sheets and pillows. Please let us know at time of booking if you need an air mattress. The space Great for families and very peaceful surroundings. Visiting Gainesville for UF sports, graduation, Shands, or sightseeing? We have the perfect place for you. Come back and relax after your event- or watch your event from the flat-screen TVs in the living room and bedroom. The house was renovated the summer of 2012 (it's 1250 SF heated/ cooled). You can walk to downtown bars and restaurants. The historic Thomas Center is just 3 short blocks away. We are also just a 10 minutes drive from La Chua Trail (a Florida State Park) where you are guaranteed to see 1 to 100 alligators. We are also just 2 miles from UF campus, the Swamp, and the O'Connell Center. The owners live next door to the house, and can be easily reached via phone and e-mail. The shared backyard is fenced in and maintained by the owners, and connects to the backyard of the owners and our other historic rental home (the backyard is meticulously maintained with beautiful seasonal flowers and greenery-- winter is iffy for flowers depending on the weather). Guest access The whole house is for the guests, and the backyard area is shared with 1 other rental house and the owners, and is beautifully maintained. Other things to note The house has 3 small steps to get into all 3 entrances (it's a historic home and is slightly elevated). Once inside, it is all one level.
