Located in the heart of Oxford, this beautifully maintained 2-bedroom Victorian townhouse offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Featuring a spacious kitchen with a dining area, a cozy living room, and a private courtyard . The courtyard also provides parking for a medium-sized car. Whether you're here to explore Oxford's rich history or simply unwind in a homely atmosphere, this well-appointed townhouse serves as an excellent base for your stay. The space BRIEF HISTORY: The property was built in 1905 and it has been in our family ownership for over 100 years. If you're interested in our homes history, you will find a small book in the study which relates to the history of East Oxford & St Clements Street. It’s book marked to the relevant pages relating to the house. ROOM DESCRIPTIONS: 1st FLOOR BEDROOM: The 1st floor bedroom is a warm, cozy and calming room with a double bed and chest of drawers. The room is situated far away from the main street, so traffic noise is low, especially with the bedroom door shut and windows closed. The room has a pair of high opacity linen curtains. 2nd FLOOR BEDROOM: The top floor bedroom is a bright and welcoming space with a king size bed and a large chest of drawers. The room is situated furthest away from the main street, so traffic noise is low. The room has a pair of high opacity linen curtains. LANDING: Outside of the 2nd bedroom is the landing, where guests can relax with a book and rest on the armchair or window seat and watch the world go by. If guests need to air dry any of their clothes they are welcome to use the 'Sheila Maid' clothes drying rack located on the landing ceiling near the top of the stairs. The room has concertina shutters that can be pulled out and set to one side to let more light into the room if desired. Guests can make use of the two large built in wardrobes and drawers to store clothes/luggage etc. KITCHEN: The kitchen is bright and contemporary with a dining space to fit up to 4 people and 2 bar stools. There is a working oven, extractor fan, toaster, coffee machine, blender, fridge/freezer, washing machine (washer/dryer) and a dishwasher. LIVING ROOM: The living room is colourful and a relaxing space. There is a large comfy sofa and a Samsung smart TV. Guests will have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV by using their log-in details. We do not have a satellite. BATHROOM: The property has 1 bathroom which is located on the ground floor. It has a large bath, shower rail, storage, basin, towel rail and toilet. Basic essentials will be provided. The bathroom will have fresh bath & hand towels and additional towels in the bathroom airing cupboard if required during your stay. COURTYARD: We have a moderately sized enclosed and gated courtyard at the rear of the property where guests can relax. There are outdoor chairs and a small round table which can seat up to 4 people. Guests are able to park for free at the property. Make sure to listen out for the Magdalen bells ringing throughout the day. PARKING: There is a car parking space available within the courtyard if guests have a small or regular sized car. Alternatively guests are welcome to park in front of the gates outside of the the courtyard. We are that guests park away from the rear of the Bedshop (And So To Bed) leaving at least a car width for the unloading and loading of beds. If guests are unsure about parking at the property, I can provide a diagram which shows where to park. A stair gate is available at the property if required, making it safer for families with young children. Guest access Guests have access to both bedrooms, the landing, bathroom, living room, kitchen, study and the courtyard. Guests will not have access to the loft or the understairs cupboard. These rooms will be locked. Other things to note Check-In & Check-Out Information A key safe is available at the property, allowing for self check-in from 3pm onwards, unless otherwise agreed. Luggage drop-off can be arranged during office hours — please contact us in advance to confirm. Check-outs during office hours are included in the price of your stay. Our office hours are: Monday – Thursday: 8:45am – 5:30pm Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm If you need to check out outside of office hours (e.g. Sundays, bank holidays, the following charges will apply: Saturday: £50 after 3pm Sunday: £35 between 10am–4pm, plus £30 per hour before 10am or after 4pm Bank Holidays: £65 Festive Period 19 Dec – 2 Jan - £35 between 10am–4pm, plus £30 per hour before 10am or after 4pm 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st Dec & 1st Jan: £65
