There are 3 bedrooms in the house included in the basic price of this listing: 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds. The bunk beds have 1 queen bed on the bottom and 1 twin bed on top. The boathouse bedroom with queen bed is available for an extra fee $100. There is a boat access directly to the property's dock or ramp at high tide (11ft of tide needed or higher). There are many steps as the house is on a hillside. The walk from the public dock and steps require physical fitness, especially if carrying items. There is one bathroom and one outhouse on the property. There is not great phone service here so there may be a delay until we get back in range, but we will get back to you as soon as possible. Internet connection works better. If your phone has Wi-Fi calling option that is the best way to make calls or send texts. Art Gallery on the island features the work of the many talented local artists (2-8 pm daily). The Restaurant "Saltry" is about 1.5 miles walk from this house, serves lunch and dinner every day (this season) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The coffee shop on the island is a place for a drink and a snack. Open 9 am - 5 pm every day. Boardwalks. Picturesque homes line wooden boardwalks clinging to the edges of the island. Guests respectful of the residents peace and private property can explore the beautiful views from the network of boardwalks during open hours (1-9 pm). Excellent for photography buffs. Massages are possible. Homer is located on the Kenai Peninsula, in Southcentral Alaska, just south of Anchorage. It is a 35 minute flight from Anchorage, or a 5 hours (non-stop) - 7 hours drive (225 miles) with busier roads in summer. Located in beautiful Kachemak Bay, Alaska, Halibut Cove is a small artist and fishing community on Ismailof Island, 7 miles by boat from Homer Harbor. You can access the island by your own boat or water taxi (there are a few water taxi companies in Homer). Water taxi has to be arranged in advance as well as kayaks rental if you want them. Kayaks can be booked from water taxi companies or from Stillpoint lodge here in the cove. Halibut Cove transportation is largely by boat and one main trail/road. There are no cars but an occasional bicycle or four-wheeler. It takes 30-60 minutes to walk across the island, depending on pace. There are no grocery stores, or any other store on the island, so bring all food and medications you need for your stay. There is sufficient water but not enough to waste.
