We are located at the entrance of the beautiful Turnagain Arm and Cook Inlet - the start of your amazing Alaskan vacation is minutes away. Your hosts are long time, well traveled Alaskans with a sense of adventure all their own. As one of five rental rooms on this property, this unique space at Mallars House is a quaint cabin style secondary unit, detached from the main home. Upstairs is a small - open concept with a double sized bed and full bath with tub and shower, toilet and sink. The downstairs is the main living room with futon/couch. The room is complete with kitchen sink, refrigerator, microwave, hot-plate, Keurig coffee maker and TV. This cabin also has WiFi and washer and dryer units. This room has its own private entrance and exit and can be accessed 24 hours a Day with your private key code. Please note that this cabin is for our more rustic oriented guests and where it has every amenity you can think of including a private washer and dryer, the unit only has a 6 gallon hot water tank. Please only take a five to seven minute shower and then wait 20 minutes for the next shower. Thank you! At Mallars House you can expect to be treated like family. We love to chat and entertain and we will often include guests for lunch and dinner and take them out with us to enjoy our favorite parts of Anchorage and the surrounding beauty of our home town. Mallars House is within minutes of Potter’s Marsh Wildlife Viewing board walk, Hilltop Ski Area, the world famous Alyeska Ski Resort, and Portage Glacier. We are also only minutes away from some of Alaska’s best hiking and biking trails. Our location and view along the coastline provides tremendous opportunities for travel along the Seward Highway coastline and the gorgeous Cook Inlet.
