Quiet, spacious two bedroom apartment with Free garage (not for large cars) plus first come first serve parking bays, stunning Abbey views. Centre of Whitby. Modernised with all comforts required. Main bedroom has king size bed and the small bedroom has a three foot bed. There are TV's on free sat in living room and main bedroom (Netflix and Fibre65 BB). Travel cot provided, washing machine and large fridge freezer. There are 33 intermittent steps up to the apartment which does have a rail. The space All on one floor, the full apartment. Spacious 724 square feet. Living/dining room, main bedroom, small bedroom, hall, kitchen, shower room, outside seating are at the front of apartment and the garage is in the courtyard. See photos for more information. Guest access All. (Note there is no carbon monoxide detector as we have no gas). Accessibility statement: Courtyard is level gravel. From the courtyard on the outside are 33 staggered steps leading to the apartment with handrail support on one side and well lite. This is broken down into 4 flights, the first of 16, second of 10, third of 3 and the last one of 4. The 33 steps are each 3 foot wide, 1 foot deep and 7 inches high. The front door step is 3 foot wide and a foot deep and 6 inches high. The apartment is all on one level floor access. There are no high or low thresholds or door frames. Light switches are traditional height and not wheelchair height. Doorways measured from their narrowest sections are: Front Door – 82 cms. Living room – 80 cms. Kitchen – 80 cms. Store room – 80 cms Bathroom - 71 cms. Main bedroom 70.5 cms. Small bedroom – 70.5 cms. If you are using the garage note the clearance if 6 foot high, 6 foot six wide and 16 foot six deep, must allow for several inches clearance. Other things to note Key Collection: Check in is by using a wall key safe which has the car park barrier card, front door key and garage key in it. The 4 digit code will be provided by owner at least 3 days before your stay. Please scramble the numbers on closing it. On departure need to return the items to the box. Please put barrier card in first so as not to bend it. Please check the box has clicked shut. The barrier will lift automatically as you drive out. Approach: There are 33 steps from the car park but they are staggered and have the benefit of a hand rail. Parking: The garage is not for a big car. A small car will fit easily and a medium sized car if the garage is approached with all wheels straight. There are also 5 first come first serve parking places they are Marked Residents parking. If all fails then a free W zone parking permit is supplied with the Welcome pack in the kitchen in any event. One 4 day scratch card permit for short stays or two or more for a weekly or longer stay. There is also a laminated street map provided on the notice board in the kitchen of the W zone parking area radius to assist you. Please return this map for other guests to use.
