A true desert escape, this newly remodeled home is situated on 2.5 fully fenced private acres and is just a short 7-minute drive to downtown Joshua Tree, and 15-minute drive to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The space Nestled on 2.5 acres of fully fenced land, the Golden Hour House offers a serene and secluded escape amidst the beauty of the desert landscape. As you step onto the property, you'll be greeted by sweeping views of the desert and mountains. The expansive outdoor space provides plenty of room to roam and explore, whether you're soaking in the hot tub or stargazing around the fire pit under the vast desert sky. Best suited for a romantic couple's trip or a small family retreat, the Golden Hour House has 1 bedroom, with an additional “library” with a twin bed and an additional twin trundle. -Outdoors- The outside areas are where the Golden Hour House shines and earns its namesake. Step outside and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the desert surroundings. Start your day off with a cup of coffee on the side patio - the perfect place to enjoy the sunrises. Cool off with a soak in the cowboy tub soaking pool. Lounge in the hot tub and enjoy Joshua Tree's famous starry night skies surrounded by the tranquility of the desert landscape. As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit for a cozy evening of storytelling, or simply relax and unwind on the outdoor daybed as you gaze up at the star-filled desert sky. The mature landscaping is adorned with fairy lighting in mason jars, creating a magical atmosphere that enhances the desert experience. -Living Area- Step inside the cozy sunken living area, where midcentury modern and bohemian design elements come together to create a welcoming and stylish space. Sink into the plush seating and unwind with your favorite movie or records playing on the record player. Large picture windows allow natural light to flood the room, offering views of the surrounding desert landscape and inviting the outdoors in. -Kitchen and Dining- The fully stocked kitchen features handmade Moroccan backsplash tiles and modern appliances. Whip up a delicious meal using fresh ingredients from the local farmer's market (on Saturday mornings!) and gather around the dining table to enjoy. In the evening, take your dining experience outside to the charming outdoor dining table, where bistro lights twinkle overhead, creating a magical ambiance under the desert stars. -Bedroom & Bathroom- Retreat to the inviting sunken bedroom for a restful night's sleep in the comfort of a king bed with high-quality linens and plush bedding. Wake up refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to start your day with a cup of coffee on the side covered patio. The bathroom is equipped with all the essentials to pamper yourself during your desert retreat including a rain shower and all shower products you'll need. For those who need to stay connected during their desert escape, there is a small desk space in the bedroom, making working from home a breeze. -Library- For additional sleeping space, the cozy library has a twin sized daybed with an additional twin trundle bed that pulls out from underneath. The bookshelves are stocked with a large variety of my favorite books and trinkets from my travels. Please note that the library space is not a private room; it is situated between the bedroom and kitchen. There is a door to the bedroom, but not to the kitchen. -Joshua Tree National Park- Just a short drive away lies Joshua Tree National Park, a desert paradise waiting to be explored. Spend your days hiking among the iconic Joshua trees, marveling at the unique rock formations, and immersing yourself in the natural beauty of this breathtaking landscape. Please note that there is a garage and storage shed onsite that being used for storage that are both locked to guests. The closet in the bedroom and 2 cabinets in the kitchen are locked as well. Other things to note Dogs: The Golden Hour House welcomes your dogs! Please note that there is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Cats and other pets are not allowed. Hot Tub Service: The hot tub is serviced on Mondays & Thursdays, usually between 11:00am-4:00pm. Please note that these are estimated times. Our pool/spa technician works very hard to meet this time frame, but he may arrive slightly earlier or later as his schedule allows. Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips: The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs/ESAs/service animals should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants.
