Description

This lovely tiny home is situated on a upick blueberry farm. It's ideal for a summer getaway, a cozy spot after a snow day on Mt.Washington or a base for exploring the trails and mountains in the area. The tiny provides the feeling of a cabin but with modern touches. You can enjoy your coffee on a private cedar deck looking out to the forest. Located in the country 5 minutes from the ocean, 15 minutes from downtown Courtenay, 20 minutes from Mt. Washington and 5 minutes from Seal Bay Park. The space The tiny home on wheels has a modern, country feel with an incredibly comfortable bed and a full kitchen. We use 100% cotton or bamboo bedding and organic Salt Spring Island soaps. We clean with eco friendly products to ensure your stay is non-toxic :) The stairs to the loft are a little 'quirky' as they get smaller and change direction mid way up. The bottom stair also slides out so that it can be used as a table. The loft is not full height but is a good height for sitting up in bed. Our tiny home is not suited to guests with back or mobility issues due to the low loft and small bathroom. You will be staying on a working farm so you will hear us out and about during the day. The kids laugh and cry, shout and play. The roosters crow, the hens cluck. Neighbours mow their lawns and run their chainsaws. These are the sounds of our rural neighbourhood. At night, the stars are amazing and you can sometimes faintly hear the sea lions barking. Guest access You will need a car to get to our farm and to explore this area. We live on a loop road and our neighbours often walk around the loop. Parking is right next to the tiny home and can fit two cars if needed. Other things to note Our water is completely safe to drink but does smell like sulfur. The good news is that it's really good for your skin. The bad news is that it is noticeable when showering and using our water. We have a Brita water filter so that your drinking water does not taste of sulfur. The loft is not full height. There is no indoor table in the tiny home - just two side tables that pull up to the couch. There is a table and chairs on the deck for use on the nicer days. Because of the size of the tiny home we prefer to host only one dog at a time. Unfortunately, we can't host your cats due to allergies. Tiny homes have their quirks so our place is best suited to travelers that enjoy those different experiences. We look forward to hosting you!
