Hilda Cottage is a 17th Century dwelling. The front door enters to the living area, downstairs is the kitchen. Upstairs is a double bedroom (WC ensuite) with sea views, and main bathroom, the top floor is the loft bedroom (double & single bed) and sea views! The stairs are narrow & steep, see photos If you're after old and quaint, Hilda is your girl, if you're after new and modern, she probably isn't 💗 No private parking or garden, see 'other details to note' section. Thank you The space All linens are included. Hilda Cottage is completely self-catering - tea/coffee/small milk is provided. Logs for the wood burner are not provided, but can be purchased from Muir Lea Stores. A maximum of two dogs are welcome free of charge, please bring blankets etc to protect furnishings. Please note there is no private garden, and the stairs are narrow/steep and curved, so please so look at the photos to view these and check suitability for older dogs. Key opens both entrance and kitchen door. Please take wet dogs and muddy boots in via the kitchen door as it has wooden flooring. The living room has a Smart TV and free WiFi is available. Please remember to log out of any accounts such as Netflix before departure. Hilda Cottage has original short, but steep and narrow stairways. Please see photos to check suitability for your stay and for small children. There is no private parking for Hilda Cottage; public pay & display car parks are available at the top of Robin Hoods Bay on Station Road. Guest access Entire property - the keys open both the entrance door and the door in the kitchen. Please take wet/dirty dogs and muddy boots in via the kitchen door to dry and clean off before accessing carpeted rooms, thank you! Other things to note IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: Parking: There is no parking for cottages in lower Robin Hoods Bay (RHB). Two public car parks are available; 1. Bank Top Car Park, Station Rd, YO22 4RL (opposite The Victoria Hotel), just before the steep hill to lower RHB. 74 spaces, 2 for disabled drivers and 4 for electric vehicle charging. PAY & DISPLAY, cash, credit card or RingGo. Charges apply from 1 March to 31 October only (24hrs £7.90) (information taken from online, please always check parking information prior to your visit for the most up to date information). 2. Station Car Park, Station Rd, YO22 4RE (opposite The Grosvenor Hotel). 207 spaces. PAY & DISPLAY, cash, credit card or RingGo. Charges apply from 1 March to 31 October only (24hrs £7.90) (information taken from online, please always check parking information prior to your visit for the most up to date information). Walking from either of these car parks, follow Station Rd down towards lower Robin Hoods Bay. Once you're at the little roundabout opposite The Victoria Hotel, walk down the steep hill (steps to your left hand side), sharp left then right, past The Laurels Pub (on your left) and Village Stores (on your right), walk over the small bridge, walk past the stone building opposite you (it has a little notice board on a wall as you go round the bend to the left) and just on your right there are some steps - Jim Bells Stile. Head up these steps, take the SECOND pathway left, walking infront of the Old Chapel. You are on Shell Hill and Hilda Cottage is on your left with a blue door and windows, cream cottage front and a house sign 'Hilda Cottage' The Bay has its own local taxi service - Bay Taxis. Your local, friendly, family taxi service. Bus - Arriva bus X93/4 Hilda Cottage has original short, but steep narrow stairways.
