La bellétage by agelandkaai(.be) Free Parking

Hello, and welcome to La bellétage by Agelandkaai(.be) Occupancy taxes and fees is sadly a new tax of 6% imposed by our government, the rest is the Tourist Tax off 6€ a night, for each guest. The space Well situated and quiet studio, with terrace, just 200m across Gent-Dampoort railway station, Flixbus and Eurolines, and free parking on the station's parking lot. Gent-Dampoort is the railway station, closest to the city centre, (1km) and has direct trains to Antwerp, Bruges, Kortrijk, Lille Flanders (France), Ypres, and the coastal cities Ostend and De Panne. Weekdays direct train to Brussels at 07h47… Very easy for city-trips to these cities. Gay friendly. Completely renovated & airconditioned belle-étage floor in an old Town House. Everything you need for overnight, or longer stays. We like to keep the place clean, however a cat sometimes might slip in while we're cleaning… So maybe best not to be booked by people with a cat allergy. When looking for dates to book, you might notice that we are not available on saturdays for checking in or out. That way we keep our saturdays somewhat to ourselves. However if you're staying for four or more days, you can always inquire to arrive or leave on a saturday. You have a no, but you might get a yes… With corona, all towels and bed-linnen are washed at 60 degrees. The airco also has a Flash Streamer function, which is always turned on. This reduces bad odeurs and viruses, and purifies the air in the room. Has to do with fast electrons with a high oxidation capacity. In between stays we put this on full blast. Also easy way to air out the studio, open the window, and put the ventilation function on full blast for 20 minutes, and it's done. We also have a bigger apartment in the house, called L'atique. Maybe check this one out, by going to our profile, where you can see our studio and apartment. It's over twice the size, but not that much more to rent. Guest access About parking, we have space on the station's parking lot, which saves you 24€ a day on parking costs. You do also have to check if your car is still allowed into the city, as Gent is now a Low Emission Zone. We live just inside the LEZ, so if you're not allowed in the city, it's not that far to walk from the car. If you are on the parking lot, and wish to stay longer in Gent after checking out, we suggest you put your car there the evening before checking out, so you can stay there as long as you stay in Gent. There is one more thing we would like to mention, the location in the review after booking. Lately we often get 4 stars for location, while our guests know perfectly where our house is located, how far we are from the center, from the station, etc. Maybe people are more critical because of corona, but we would like to ask you to check the prices of places with a 'better' location, you will also pay more ... We have friends with an airbnb in the centre, for 2 persons, you'll pay 130€ a night,. Just saying. If you come by car, you do not have to drive into the center and pay a parking fee. If you come by train or bus, you don't have to drag your luggage through the city center. Yes it is a 10 minute walk to the center, but again feel free to look at other prices, and keep this in mind when writing your review. As you can read from our reviews, guests are often very satisfied, and that is the main reason for us to rent out our spaces, of course we do not do this for free, but the main reason for us are good reviews, and our guests leave with beautiful memories. Due to the 4 star reviews on location, our overall 'score' went from 4.93 to 4.92, which is still very good, but we have to admit, it does hurt a bit ... Also because this is a nice location, you have big trees in front of the house, we live by a lock, with a summer bar, but a short walk along the water away from the city center, in a safe area, with shops and restaurants (ok , not always open with corona, but still). We just wanted to mention it once, thank you. Other things to note No problem leaving luggage after check-out, you can always come back to collect them with the key in the key-locker, just ask for the code. Rainscreens are available, if you would have bad weather. We like to provide you with what we think you might need, to have a nice time in Gent, feel welcome and at home. Anything we didn't think about, just ask. Apparantly, as we hear from our guest, we do a fine job, which makes hosting very pleasant for us also. Glad to welcome you into our home. Raoul or Michel might pass through your toilet to go outside, they have their own entrance and exit. No other cats can get in through the cat door.
