Description

This secluded Homesteaders Cabin is on a fully fenced 5 acres with a dozen trees and no close neighbors. It’s an ideal spot to unplug & unwind. Hang in a hammock, marvel at the Milky Way and cozy up by the fireplace in our family getaway. It’s cool in the summer with great AC and heated in the winter for chilly nights. The house is 1.5 miles along a dirt road but a regular car can get there. If you really want private, it’s here. Dogs welcome. Starlink Wi-Fi included. Sorry no cats :( The space This little cabin is all about cozying in. Decorated with vintage finds from around the Valleys unique thrift stores, it‘s set up like a place your super cool Aunt would own (assuming you had a super cool Aunt). It feels lived in and loved and isn’t like a hotel room. The master bedroom is a bespoke wood paneled room with a Queen sized bed and upgraded and separate AC/heating unit. The common space is an open studio feel and has an additional queen bed and two single futon beds that serve as a couch during the day. The futons can accommodate two sleepers at night, ideal for kids. There is a separate upgraded AC/heating unit in the Main room and a working fireplace. Guest access Guests will have full access to the 5 acre fenced property. We are dog friendly and the fence does a good job keeping pets in and big critters out but it’s the desert so you also need to supervise your pets. After it rains there’s often places a dog could squeeze under so best to be aware. The property is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere so the feeling of privacy is awesome. You can see neighboring properties in the distance but no other properties abut ours. Other things to note Dogs welcome but unfortunately we are allergic to cats so can’t accommodate. The property is fenced but you should still keep an eye on your dogs. When it rains little river form and critters can burrow under. This is indeed the desert. Dust and critters are part of the package. The place will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival but just know that with the normal coming and going there will be dust. We don’t have too many critter invaders but you will if the doors are kept open. Best to keep the doors closed. You’ll need to bring your drinking water with you. The property has a well that sucks water up from 200ft below. The water is from an ancient salt lake so it’s fine for bathing and washing dishes but for cooking and drinking you’ll need bottled water. The house has Starlink wifi and it’s working well. Also be sure to pick up firewood on your way out. There are several designated outdoor fire pits and an indoor fireplace. Please leave the fire pits where they are and be careful because the wind can pick up quickly. We usually do have extra firewood to supplement what you bring. It’s $1 per piece on the honor system. There’s a box for paying on the kitchen wall. You can also pay via air b n b. Please put things back where you find them. Feel free to move outdoor chairs and hammocks but return them when you are done. Registration Details CESTRP-2020-00622
