Picturesque apartment with large terrace to the Mediterranean

Tasteful, elegant decor beneath Renaissance vaults. A picturesque gem spanning 140 square meters awaits you in a medieval village on the Riviera, between Imperia and San Remo. The space The apartment derives its charm from antique furniture, cross vaults (15th century), trompe l’oeil murals, Art Nouveau windows in the interior doors, antique mirrors and lamps, cotto flooring, fine fabrics, and the color scheme. The 25-square-meter terrace overlooks olive groves and the Mediterranean Sea. There are three bedrooms sleeping six (see layout below), a large central living room, kitchen, bathroom, large entryway, satellite TV, and a washer and dishwasher. The Surroundings and the Village The sea and beach are a 10-minute drive away. The sea remains warm until early to mid-November, heated by the summer. The wild and romantic area is very picturesque even in winter thanks to its evergreen palm and olive trees. There are no large hotels along the coast; tourism is low-key. The province of Imperia is known for its mild climate—not too hot in summer and above freezing in winter. The apartment was featured in a 10-page spread in the Italian interior design magazine *Spazio Casa* in December 2003. The colors are actually more vibrant than they appear in the photos. The medieval mountain village is situated on a ridge overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and close to the beach. There is almost no traffic, making it very suitable for young children. You’ll find two cafés/restaurants in the village: one in the town square and one below the sports field, which is a pizzeria/restaurant. Two stores offer everything you need, including fresh baked goods, dairy products, and meat every day—and a German newspaper delivered every morning upon request. The village also has a post office and, for the past few years, even a pharmacy. Vegetables, fruit, and the excellent olive oil are mostly grown locally. There are several daily bus connections to Imperia or San Remo. The 563 residents still form a close-knit village community with a school, a pastor, a retirement home, and many festivals. On holidays, the village restaurant offers traditional multi-course holiday menus. 8 minutes to the beach. The village is nestled between the Maritime Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, offering hiking and overnight stays in mountain huts. From there, you can enjoy magnificent views all the way to France and Corsica. The beach and water are very clean! Other activities: - Horseback riding in the province—see online - Golf: Just a short way inland from San Remo, there’s a charming golf course overlooking the sea (about a half-hour from Civezza). - Skiing: Beautiful ski resorts are 1–2 hours away, both in France and Italy. To reach Limone, Italy, drive through a short stretch of France via Ventimiglia (2 hours); to reach Monesi, Italy, drive through Imperia (1 hour) into the mountains. - Bike path along the coast between San Remo and Imperia.
