Welcome to our beautiful character home in the heart of Marlborough, historic market town within an AONB. It's perfect for gatherings with family and friends. There is plenty of room for a large group to enjoy time together. Grade 2 listed, our home has modern amenities mixed with tons of original features. The house is 2 mins from the historic High St, and within easy reach of Stonehenge London and Bath. The space Our holiday home is a Grade 2 Listed property and therefore has loads of character features, with large fireplaces, sash windows, exposed beams and quarry tiled hearths. It's at least 200 years old, but we think we have the best of both worlds with modern fixtures in a character house. The house is perfect for a get together with family or a retreat from busy day to day life. You are in the centre of town and may use the wifi, so you can escape from the city but continue working if you wish. There are 5 large bedrooms and 4 bath/shower rooms. There is a spacious dining room, and a separate large fully equipped kitchen with seating around the granite island. You can relax together in the characterful snug with a beautiful rich leather suite and stunning exposed brick wall. A further living room is located at other end of the house and can be used for entertaining children with DVDs and board games, or as a quiet space to escape for yourself. French doors from the kitchen and snug lead to the patio, perfect for dining al fresco. You can make use of the Olympic sized table tennis table for mini competitions with your friends. Guest access Guests have the use of the house for the duration of the booking. The garden extends to the rear with a peaceful grassed area at the back of the walled garden. This area is overlooked by Wye House apartments so please be mindful of noise here. Next door to our house is the historic grade 2 listed Wye House which has beautiful gardens open to the public. The cellar is out of bounds. The log burners are decorative and not for use by guests. However, underfloor heating keeps the house toasty warm all year round. Other things to note Parking for one car is available on our garage forecourt opposite the house. Additional parking for several cars is available on our private land 5 mins from the house. Free on street parking is also available near the house. No parking or loading/unloading is permitted at any time in the neighbour's carpark. The house is located in the centre of Marlborough and as such some traffic noise is sometimes audible. The house is 20m long, with only 2 bedrooms facing the road. For very light sleepers, it’s best to choose a rear bedroom.
