It had sat dormant for about a year, and we are slowly bringing it back as a Guest House. The Sion Bass Guest House has 6 "Hotel Suite" style rooms, each with a luxury Spa Style attached bathroom. The building is equipped with smart locks, where you use a door code to check yourself in, and come and go as you wish. There is not a permanent staff on property, however, Mike and his family live a few blocks away. The home was built by Union Colonel Sion Bass, who commanded the Indiana 30th in the Civil War. The home is decked out with a Civil War theme, with pictures of Sion and his men. This is in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne, with Starbucks a Frisbee throw away, restaurants, and activity in all directions. The Foster Suite is right inside the front door. If you are the lightest of sleepers, and require no disturbances, please select another Suite in the Guest House. Other guests will have 24/7 access the front door that is right outside this suite. We are also on a major Blvd in downtown Fort Wayne. The Foster Suite is in the front of the Guest House, close to the street. Guest access Enjoy the common sitting/main gathering room on the main floor. Free parking is provided on site right behind the building. Other things to note This is a shared guest house. Think of a small hotel. There is a "lobby" downstairs, with Suites throughout the home. The Guest House is on one of downtown's busiest streets. The Foster Suite is at the front of the Guest House. There is Traffic noise and street lights. If you are a very light sleeper, please book a suite to the back of the home. The McCulloch and Lawton Suites are very quiet. The Foster Suite is adjacent to the front door. The main door smart lock does beep when accessed. Should other guests come and go at odd hours, the lock will make beeps as the code is entered. There will also be general noise from entering and exiting the home as other guests come and go.
