Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast Suite is situated directly on the pristine Atlantic Ocean waters of the spectacular Prospect Peninsula, a short half hour drive from Halifax, along the Lighthouse Route #333 on the way to world famous Peggy’s Cove. Sand Castle Suite has been an officially registered and inspected B&B with Canada Select since 1994. The space For your comfort and relaxation, we feature one private, architecturally designed, environmentally sensitive, indoor non-smoking, and tastefully decorated, oceanfront 700 sq ft suite. We are nestled within a private and quiet, natural seaside garden. In 2018 over $35,000.00+ has been invested in upgrading the Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast Suite. Our guests like our convenient location for day trips to Peggy’s Cove, Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Halifax and Dartmouth. They love coming back to our peaceful haven by the sea. Of course some guests come for a Stay-vacation enjoying all the amenities our property offers as well as local activities such as golfing at Granite Springs, kayaking through ECO tours and walking the High Head Trail. Many guests tell us that they wished that they had booked a longer stay. July, August and September book up early so it is difficult to accommodate a last minute request to extend their stay. Guest access Guests may come and go through their own private entrance to their Sand Castle Suite. During your stay Clary and Cheryl live on site and are always available for assistance Other things to note The 700 square foot Sand Castle Oceanfront Suite consists of one private bedroom with a queen bed, a spacious living room with a convertible, double futon sofa, and an additional single pullout love seat. The Sand Castle Suite sleeps 4 people. The Sand Castle Suite features a three piece bathroom, complete with a marble countertop, and a oversize shower. Recently in 2018 over $35,000.00+ has been invested in updating and upgrading the Sand Castle Suite. The spacious dining and living room offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Shad Bay. Our property has a southwesterly exposure, featuring terrific sunsets. The full housekeeping kitchenette is equipped with a counter top cooking center with all the ingredients for a healthy breakfast supplied daily. There is a new countertop, a sink, full size fridge with freezer compartment, a under counter fridge, a coffee maker, a 4 slice toaster, a convection oven, a microwave oven, dishes, cutlery, etc. for your use and convenience. Housekeeping service is provided. This luxurious Sand Castle Suite boasts recently refinished wood floors, a private covered deck and has full service, cable television, stereo radio and CD player, propane BBQ, and an airtight wood stove. We also feature a 125’ wharf, where you can go out on and sit and watch time go by, our own private sand beach, and Frank’s Boat House, with chairs, for your use.
