Our log cabin borders Shenandoah National Park and is *10 minutes* from the Thornton Gap entrance of Skyline Drive and hiking trails. Ideal location for your mountain getaway! Secluded and quiet, our inviting cabin has a hot tub, deck with mountain views, porch, fireplace, outdoor fire pit, TVs (DVDs only, no service), and satellite WiFi. Our cabin is an ideal location for hiking in the Shenandoahs, wine tasting, Luray Caverns, and more. And it is less than two hours from DC! Guest access IMPORTANT DETAILS: Cell reception is spotty. Great for unplugging but please be aware before you stay with us! Make sure to print or save your door code to get into the cabin before you leave. We have a landline you can use for local and emergency phone calls. Please be advised this is a mountain property. The road to the cabin is gravel and steep. All Wheel Drive and high clearance vehicles are required November through March, and strongly recommended year-round. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. Other things to note Trash Policy: Our cleaners can only take 1 kitchen bag (13 gallon) of trash with them when they clean. If you'd like to arrange with our property manager for a small fee to take trash to the landfill for you, you can text or call him to arrange it. Please give him at least two days advance notice.
