La Maison Cavendish is a beautiful early 19th century manor house close to the pretty town of Argenton-sur-Creuse. The rooms are bright and spacious with high ceilings and traditional character and charm. It overlooks the swimming pool set in over an acre of garden made private by mature trees and large shrubs. The open kitchen and triple aspect dining area is made for family parties and evenings with friends. There are many options for eating, activities and taking in the sights nearby. The space La Maison Cavendish is a large and beautiful ‘Maison de Maître’ in the village of Le Vivier, near to the pretty and buzzing town of Argenton sur Creuse. We have easy private parking, fresh bed linen and towels, and a large kitchen and dining room with everything you’ll need for an easy and relaxed stay. The local town of Argenton-sur-Creuse — known as the ‘Venice of Berry’ — has beautiful riverside walks, restaurants, shops, boutiques, cafes and museums. Further afield you have the stunning local countryside, the beautiful Creuse Valley (known as the ‘valley of the painters’ thanks to its popularity with Monet and other impressionists), and a large lake with water sports. The lush rolling hills and quiet roads are ideal for walking and cycling. Our house has super fast fibre internet, games, bikes, sports equipment and books to keep you entertained. Or just relax by the beautiful pool set in our enclosed parkland garden. Guest access Guests will have full and exclusive access to the house, pool and front and rear gardens. Other things to note While we aim to have the pool open between the beginning of May and end of September, we can’t control the weather! So, especially in early May or late September, we can’t guarantee that the pool will be available for use.
