The Heritage Harbor Loft – Historic charm with harbor view Located on the third floor of a monumental mansion from 1746, this stylish loft offers a unique mix of authentic details and modern comfort. The space The loft covers the entire top floor of the property, with stunning views of the bustling shopping street at the front and the marina at the back. In summer, it is wonderful to sit on the window seat in the dormer at the front, with the windows open. So you can look outside and enjoy the lively street. Tip: take a seat with a good glass of wine and some snacks, and enjoy! Of course, we also thought that it can be dark in the evening, and it is still nice to sit there. That is why there are two mood lights in the dormer with pleasant warm white light. At the front is also the comfortable queen-size bed. Of course, you can enjoy a wonderful night's sleep here. Unfortunately, it is not possible to place a kitchen in the loft. As an interim solution, there is a sideboard with a combination microwave (oven and microwave) to heat up meals. The dresser also has crockery and cutlery, so a small breakfast or simple meal can be easily provided. In addition, there is a mini fridge next to the sofa at the back of the loft. Next to the combi microwave are a kettle and a Nespresso machine. Coffee and tea are included in the stay. Together with glasses, milk and sugar, these can be found in the cupboard. Although the roof is well insulated, it is of course nice to be able to adjust the temperature to your liking. The air conditioner can both cool and heat. In the summer, it is nice to open the windows, but it can sometimes be noisy in the center of the city. Then feel free to close the windows and turn on the air conditioning. In the colder months, it can be quite chilly. When you set the air conditioner to the desired temperature, it takes about five minutes before it starts heating (due to the heating of the duct). After that, the loft will be comfortably warm in no time. Of course, it is also nice to be able to relax. The lounge sofa at the rear of the loft is perfectly suited for this. There is a TV in front of the sofa, so enjoying a movie or series is wonderful here! On this side, there is also a skylight with beautiful views of the marina. In the summer, you can open this window to enjoy the fresh outdoor air. After a long city walk, it's wonderful to be fresh again! In the middle of the loft is the luxurious walk-in shower with toilet, floor heating and automatic ventilation. The light is dimmable, so you can make it cozy and it is not too bright while showering. Because it naturally gets humid in the bathroom, it is nice that it keeps smelling fresh. The ventilation switches on automatically as soon as you turn on the light, and continues for a while after the light is switched off. This way, the bathroom always stays well ventilated and pleasant! A beautiful sink should of course not be missing, and fortunately it is placed in a beautiful place on the outside of the bathroom. The spacious bathroom furniture with double marble sink exudes a wonderful feeling of luxury. Above the sinks is a large mirror with built-in lighting and heating. By holding your hand at the bottom right of the mirror, you can turn the light on or off. Want to create atmospheric lighting? Then hold your hand under the mirror a little longer and the color of the light changes – so you don't always have bright white light. In the bathroom cabinet, under the sinks, you will find a hair dryer, a hair straightener, toilet rolls, cleaning supplies and possibly extra towels. An ironing board and iron are available on request. If you'd like to take advantage of this, just let us know. The rest of the property is in private use by the residents. The front door and the stairwell up to the door of the loft are shared. Guest access The entire upper floor, closed with a door + lock. Fully private Other things to note It is the top floor in the old monument and of course has no elevator. To get upstairs, you have to take 3 stairs. If you have difficulty walking, please take this into account. The loft itself is on the ground floor. In the city center, it is of course busier than in a suburb. What happens on the street is quite audible in the loft. On weekends, there can be quite a bit of noise from café "Het Avontuur", as people sometimes want to stand in front of the door. We do of course have earplugs available and if you are really a light sleeper, please take this into account. We of course do everything we can to make the stay as comfortable as possible, and in an old building like this, it can be noisy. Due to the age and architectural style of the building, it is a bit noisier. There is a washing machine + dryer in the building. If there is an urgent request to do the laundry, this can be discussed with the host. The washing machine cannot be used by guests themselves, we offer this as an extra service.
