Apartment near Museumplein (centre)

All guests agree: the apartment is perfect and the location even better. A real home away from home. Two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living with a comfortable couch. Quiet area, next to the Museumplein with the 3 major Museums. The space Dear reader, If you would like to stay in my house, please send me a message. Our 80m2 home is on the second floor (no elevator) and is over 100 years old. Lots of old characteristics are saved, but the house is comfortable in a 21th century way! There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a double bed 2 meters up which is not suitable for small children. We have an open, fully equipped kitchen which looks into the living/dining room. The living room has lots of early 20th century details like the ceiling (Amsterdamse School) and stained glass. The kitchen has a gas-cooked-stove, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, smegg oven, nespresso machine, a microwave and more. The living-room has wooden table with six chairs. High Speed Wifi. There is a separate toilet. The bathroom contains a bath and a separate shower. At the front there are two French-balcony doors. In the morning the sun is on our small balcony at the back. The living room has an oak floor. Amsterdam Oud Zuid is a quiet area, but very close to all the nice parts of Amsterdam! You are 1 min. walk from the famous Concertgebouw (concert hall) and the Museumplein (museum square) where the Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt), Stedelijk Museum (museum of modern art) and the Van Gogh Museum are. Check out my guide, I marked spots all within 500 meters from my place. You can easily spend a long weekend within these 500 meters and have a unique Amsterdam experience. The famous Vondelpark is 5 min. walk. You can do some nice running or skating there, or just enjoy the weather with a nice pick nick. The outgoing area the Pijp is also a 5 min. walk. Amsterdam's most expensive shopping street the P.C. Hooftstraat is at the other side of the museum square, 3min walk. A public swimming pool is around the corner. Underneath the Museum square is a large supermarket which is open from 8 - 22 every day. They sell all kinds of fresh and biological products as well. Nice bars and restaurants you find in the Pijp area or next to the Concert hall. On the corner of the street you can have Amsterdam's best beef at Café Loetje! Public transport stops around the corner. In Amsterdam you do not need a car, you do everything by foot, bike or public transport. Parking a car is expensive. Amsterdam is a great city for partying in all kinds of way. Lots of people come here to enjoy stuff which is not legal in their own country. If this is the goal of your trip, my house is not the place to stay. Guest access You will have access to my entire apartment. Other things to note Outside the city: If you take the train to Zandvoort you are at the beach in 30 minutes. Holland is not a very big country, so you can see other interesting cities very easy.
