The space The elegant lounge/dining room with its gas fire in a brick fireplace, comfortable seating, and TV is an inviting spot to put your feet up and relax after a memorable day of adventure. A conveniently located dining area graces the room with a table and four chairs – perfect for romantic meals. Whip up home-cooked treats in the well-equipped kitchen or have a well-deserved bubble bath in the ground-floor bathroom. A steep staircase leads from the lounge to the first floor where a cosy and characterful double bedroom with plenty of storage awaits. One of the main attractions of the cottage is the charming, enclosed courtyard garden with its table and chairs for dining or drinks outside on summer days. Take time to explore the River Deben by taking a wander past the historic Tide Mill before heading over to the yacht harbour to watch the vessels drift back and forth. Alternatively, hop in the car and take a drive to the seaside town of Aldeburgh, which is just 18 miles away. You can make use of the shingle beach and go for a walk along the shoreline or visit the delightful town with its Georgian buildings. You may even be lucky enough to encounter some of the local fishermen selling their daily catches – a great way to get some fresh seafood back to the cottage.
