It is only a short distance from the cottage to the center of Fitjar with restaurants, stores, sports and playground. If you would like to visit a larger town, a trip to Stord is recommended. The drive takes only 20 minutes, and in Stord there are shopping streets, water sports center, bowling and the Sunnhordaland Museum. According to the motto "Memory creates opinion", the museum also offers permanent exhibitions on prehistoric times and agriculture. Day trips to Haugesund and Bergen with all that these cities have to offer are also recommended.
