The castle and castle gardens, Schwerin Cathedral or the Schwerin State Theater are absolutely worthwhile destinations. There is a great adventure playground and a quad track. Right next door, the indoor ski hall offers winter fun at its finest and the opportunity to further improve your driving skills.
