In a building from from 1400, restored in 2010, the apartment is unique for the maintened original decoration details and it is larger than the local standards, being most of buldings of the village house-towers based on medieval specifications for defending . For quiter night stays, respect few guests' reviews, we suggest accomodations at some hundreds high steps up from the main square and the sea. In the village there is one road only and one square, no cars admitted and no luggage service. Train Staion at 200 meters. Free Private Car Parking at 300meters in the LTZ. Access ramp NOT SUITABLE for SUV, station wagon nor mini van. Few walks from ferry boat and leisure boats services. Close to everything: restaurants, cafes, newspapers and tobacco, grocery, pharmacy, ATM, ice cream... Look out the windows and the life of Vernazza will pass under your eyes! Preferably arrive by train because of the steep road descending to the village, and because you will never use your car to go around the Cinque Terre villages! But then....What to do once in Vernazza? There are 3 types of choice: 1) Do nothing. Just spend your lazy time watching from the sitting room windows down to the village life passing below your eyes! turists, lot of locals, the church in the sunset colors. Then go down for a Spritz (Aperol + Prosecco + soda, orange) before having dinner in the square. 2) Leave for a crazy hiking at the lower level paths. These is the most famous paths network, built among wineyard terraces so to allows the villeins to follow and care the grapes until wine harvest. These paths were not supposed to see millions people crossing them with hiking boots and rackets for 10 months a year! and the hills are steep and the territory is fagile. 3) Go for real trial paths on the hills hights. These are the ancient roads used to connect Sanctuaries, Convents (and Monterosso, Vernazza, Riomaggiore have their own Sanctuaries), connect the 5 Terre villages with other villages (from Portovenere to Levanto) like the "Sentiero Alto AV5T" ex n°1.
