The old thatched-roof cottage, dating from 1861, was renovated with a great deal of attention to detail. Upon arrival, the first view over the property and the cottage reveals why it bears the name Kleine Oase. Old trees and freshly laid flower beds, decorated with relics of the past, come together to create an inviting overall picture. You enter the property via the driveway, where you can also conveniently charge your electric car at the charging station for a fee. A cobblestone path leads you through the garden to the thatched-roof vacation home. Welcome to the Little Oasis! Here you will welcome a pleasant climate and grounding colors. Natural materials were mainly used in the renovation. The walls were plastered with clay on a wood fiber insulation and partly painted white with a breathable clay paint. All the old beams of the house have been exposed in loving micro work and restored with linseed oil. The combination of wood and clay gives an earthen aroma and lets you relax immediately. The colors of the interior design bring nature into the house. The sandy clay plaster and the green of the decoration complement each other with the wooden beams and handmade oak window benches to an oasis. The floor in the living and kitchen area is tiled and is tempered via floor heating. There is also a wall heater behind the comfortable corner sofa. Especially on cold days, you have the feeling that an oven would warm the apartment homely, while you may end your evening with a glass of wine in front of the flat-screen TV. The wall lighting illuminates the room with warm light. Despite a ceiling height of 2.17 m (7.15 ft) or 1.92 m (6.3 ft) under the ceiling beams, the small house impresses with its spacious layout. The room extends from the living area to the open fitted kitchen. The white kitchen front has been combined with tiles where discreet ornaments are reminiscent of the age of the house. The inviting dining table connects the two living areas. Right next to the front door, behind a sliding door, is the bathroom. The small wet room with underfloor heating offers everything you need due to the clever layout. The door and vanity are unique items made by the host for the Kate. This also applies to the steep, narrow staircase that leads up along the open gallery to the attic. From the gallery, you can look down into the living area. You are now located in the bedroom with a small roof hood. Your brought things can be stored on the shelves and in the bedside tables. Depending on your needs, you can choose the bright ceiling lighting or the rustic wall lighting behind the baseboard, which also frames the 1.80 m x 2.0 m bed. The bed was specially tinned for the small oasis in old craftsmanship with cone connections made of over 200-year-old oak wood. Your dreams will come true here. If you want to spend some of your vacation days without any activities, the lush garden landscape of the Kleine Oase invites you to relax. It opens south. There are plenty of places to relax and breathe: under the walnut tree, whose essential oils relax the mind and body, a bench invites you to linger. Or you can pause on the lawn under the mourning birches, whose long branches spread out like a green roof. The fenced garden is also framed with an Ilex hedge. This way you can feel completely embedded. The 1.20-m (4-ft) high metal fence prevents dogs from making unplanned excursions. A newly built 30-m² terrace adjoins the cottage on the southwest side. Again, there are some eye-catchers that charmingly absorb the old character of the house. Of course, garden furniture and barbecue equipment are waiting for you in the newly built wooden shed with natural roof. You can also store your bikes in the lockable shed and charge e-bikes. With its central location in the inland part of Schleswig-Holstein in Osterrade, your vacation home offers ideal conditions for day trips to the North Sea (e.g., Büsum or St. Peter-Ording) or to the Baltic Sea. Alternatively, you can enjoy nature on cycling tours along the North Baltic Sea Canal and through the Geest and moor landscapes. [nbsp]
