Benvenuti a Venezia! Far away from mass tourism, in the middle of the locals, in the green Castello/Biennale district, you can experience Venice from a different side. The neighborhood offers countless excellent restaurants, bars, and cafes. In only two stations you can take the vaporetto to the beach of the Lido and after only one station you can reach St. Mark's Square. In the warm seasons, you can open the large patio doors completely… and watch the locals pass by with their boats. A simple CIAO pleases every Italian. Guest access The apartment is on the first floor with direct access from the alley. Other things to note Shortly before your arrival, our lovely local contact, Giorgia, will contact you via Whats App. For this, it's important that we have a working mobile number of you. Giorga will clarify the following details with you: 1. What means of transportation will you be arriving? If you come by plane, which airport do you land at? 2. When will you be arriving in Venice? This will allow them to arrange a suitable meeting point and time for check-in with you. Upon check-in, every guest staying in the listing will need a valid ID. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to do check-in without this. In addition, Giorgia will collect the legally required tourist tax from each guest on site and exclusively in cash and only in euros. The current rates are: • Children up to 10 years old and people with disabilities are exempt from the tourist tax. • From 10 to the age of 16: 2,- Euro per night • From the age of 16: 4,- euro per night, but a maximum of 5 nights, after the 5th night there are no taxes. If your stay is in the cold months (November, December, January, February), it is advisable to bring slippers or thick socks. Underfloor heating in ground-level apartments in Venice is not technically feasible. Due to the regularly occurring flood, the soil structures are affected by saltwater, which is why such an installation would not work reliably. This naturally keeps the stone floor colder, which is common in historic buildings in Venice. In addition, life right on the water in winter generally always feels a little cooler. Our apartment is still well heated, as confirmed by the vast majority of our guests, which is by no means self-evident in Venice and in general in Italy.
