The Sailor's Rest

Completely renovated guest house situated on our beautiful property right on the shores of scenic Alexander Bay. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets with a glass of wine and good company. The flooring upstairs and the beautiful beams came from a fish plant in Newtown, NL. We completely renovated the Sailors Rest, and have tried to capture a comfortable 'old fashioned' feel with modern touches. Glovertown itself is situated in a great location and is within minutes of Terra Nova National Park, Splash and Putt water park, and the Eastport peninsula where you get to experience beautiful beaches and the historic community of Salvage. Guest access Guests have access to entire guest house. Attached patio with chairs, bbq and propane firepit - yours to use and enjoy! Spend a few peaceful moments in the hammock or take a stroll and sit by the water just a few steps away. There is also a wood burning fire pit down by the water with 6 chairs for guests to use. Wood and kindling can be purchased at local stores. Please check with us before lighting a fire as sometimes there may be a fire ban on....or it may be to windy...! The main house, patio, greenhouse and shed is our private property and we kindly ask guests to respect this. Other things to note The Sailors Rest is a guest house located on our property approximately 80 feet from our main house. We do have 2 cats and a dog on our property that roam freely. They are all very friendly and love kids. Our cats sometimes sneak in the guest house for a nap...! You will likely get a visit from the tender and loving 'Stella' or our newest addition ‘Boo’....Our dog 'Sammy' is an SPCA rescue and he will likely be very excited to see you if he's outside. If you are afraid of or uncomfortable with cats/dogs let us know and we'll try our best to keep them inside. Registration Details 6134
