In the creek mouth at the cottage many different species of birds come to drink water. The house has its own bathing beach. There are good hiking possibilities along the beach towards Sætre. In Hurummarka you can cycle or hike inland. Nearby is the recreation area Freyborg with a nice swimming pool and playground for children, a climbing frame for older children as well as a volleyball court and a Chinese restaurant with kiosks.
