The space The historic colonial-style villa was comprehensively refurbished in 2016 and consists of four individually designed bedrooms with open plan bathrooms. Each double room is enriched with its own private veranda and garden area. Guests share a large spacious living and dining area (which can be easily divided into two living areas), the pantry kitchen as well as the courtyard and pool area. Additionally, guests can enter the entire surrounding cinnamon and coconut plantation, which belongs to the Villa. Villa Ronnaduwa is located in the South-West of Sri Lanka between the historic city of Galle and Ambalangoda. It can be reached within 1.5 hours from Colombo via the new express way or by train on a scenic route along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The closest beaches are Akurala beach (4km) while Hikkaduwa, one of Sri Lanka’s most popular beach towns for both tourists and locals, is located just a 10 min drive away from the property. It is internationally known for its abundant choice of restaurants, the nightlife, as well as various surfing, diving and sports activities. Guest access Guests have access to 9 acres of a private cinnamon and coconut plantations. Our residence manager will be more than happy to show guests around. The guests are also invited to participate in a cinnamon tour on the property and learn how cinnamon is grown and harvested. On their walk, they are free to pluck fresh mangoes or papayas when in season, and enjoy the variety of herbs and spices grown on the property. Other things to note A private chef cook is available on site and happy to share his knowledge on the local cuisine with our guests.
