From your perch at 5000 feet, you will enjoy breathtaking mountain sunsets while you relax on the large deck, chill (or warm by the gas-log fireplace!) in the great room, or snuggle in the master bedroom. Or you can walk to the top of the Sugar Mountain ski lifts to enjoy the Southeast’s best skiing. We call our place “Granddaughter Mountain.” We offer a spacious primary suite, a guest room, and a loft, with a bathroom for each of the 3 sleeping areas. The primary suite offers a king bed and a Jacuzzi tub, and it opens onto the large deck. The second bedroom boasts a queen bed. The sofa in the loft becomes a bed. Stay in touch with wi-fi, or retreat to the large-screen TV. Whatever the season, the views are spectacular, and the list of activities in the area is endless. You’ll be only minutes from Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville, Valle Crucis, and, of course, Grandfather Mountain. So come, sit by the fire or relax on the cool deck and enjoy the High Country! Please note: Winter weather at our almost 5,000-foot elevation can bring snow, sleet, and/or freezing rain. Snow chains or all-wheel-drive are essential in winter months.
