Private cabin in the woods bordering HH State Forest. Hike to Old Man's Cave or other rock formations from the back door. We love the area and our dogs and want to provide a place for you to bring your best four legged friends! We have no size or breed restrictions. We just ask that they are well behaved and you pick up after them. No additional charge for your dog(s). No pet deposit. Thanks for considering us! All are dog friendly with fenced in areas off the deck so that you don't need to go outside to let your dogs out. We provide dog beds, bowls, towels, and some treats! Now for the human amenities....All cabins are within walking distance of the BuckeyeTrail, less than 2 miles from Old Man's Cave, have full kitchens and 2 separate bedrooms, have outdoor hammock chairs on covered decks, games, DVDs, and more! Here is a brief description of each cabin: Take A Hike-Secluded with a large deck in the trees, small interior, wood burning fireplace. Paws & Unwind-Larger interior, less secluded, gas fireplace. Get Lost-Brand new and the best of the other two. Seclusion, a 40 foot covered deck, hammock chairs in front of a gas fireplace. We have a cooler, backpack, 4 sets of trekking poles, and 4 pair of ice grippers for your shoes for use during your stay. We are an unplugged destination. There is no Wi-Fi. (Cabin #2, Get Lost does have Wi-Fi.) Cell service is limited in the area. T-Mobile has decent service inside. ATT and Verizon have spotty service inside. Your cell phone will work to call 911 from Take A Hike. The closest wifi is at the Old Man's Cave Visitor Center. We live 5 minutes away. You can give our number to family to reach us in the event of an emergency. We have a DVD player and recommend that you bring your own DVDs if desired. Our TV has HDMI input. Bring your own HDMI cable if you would like to connect your mobile device. We have a variety of games, books, and DVDs for you to enjoy during your stay. There are stairs down to the cabin. We are not handicap accessible. For winter bookings: We do have heat that should be sufficient to keep you warm. We have a wood burning stove in the main room. We will have a fire ready to be lit, but we do not supply firewood. There are many road side stands nearby where you can purchase wood. Grandma Faye’s is the closest.
