Colonial House "La Gran Sultana"

Welcome to "La Gran Sultana", a colonial house rebuilt in 2002 with a patio garden and a pool. It can host up to 12 people in 4 rooms (there is an extra room with a queen bed w/o aircon). The house is located 2 blocks from Main Square. In 2025, we have made important improvement with new furnitures:mirror, beds, TV set and Kitchen equipment, improved decoration in the rooms and the patio +1 piece stunning wooden table to eat. See the pictures! The space Casa La Gran Sultana is definitely “GRAND”. From the street, whenever you open one of the 2 antique double door, you get first to a huge “saguan” with a first set of rocking chairs. This room is used to receive people from outside or take the fresh air coming from the lake at sunset. Once the door is closed, the noise from the street recedes and you get into a wide 3 fold corridor around the garden. Note: one of the 2 doors to the street provides a confortable access & Parking for a 4x4 or van, even 2 cars. The main corridor which brings you to the center of the house is equipped with additional seating facing the pool and 2 hammocks between the exotic wooden pilars. The garden is full of tropical plants with good shadow. At 6am in the morning, whenever the city awakes and the sun appears this is the place to be, as the birds (including humming birds) are flying over to drink. The left side corridor is equipped with the internet, the right one hosts the main diner tables. The kitchen is located at the center of the home between the two outer patios. It is spacious and has everything you need to prepare a meal or just a simple snack. There are 5 rooms in the house. On the 1st floor, the two large bedrooms open onto an open space with the large TV set. The master bedroom has a private bath, king bed and large closet. The second room has a private bath, one king bed and a single bed. On the main floor, a room is located on the patio with a king bed and a single bed. A bathroom is on the back of the room. In the back garden area there are 2 bedrooms: one with 4 beds and one room with a king bed, with their corresponding bathroom. Every room has its closet and a space to work. Upstairs on the balcony the view is spectacular on the roofs of the surrounding houses. 4 out of the 5 bedrooms have aircon. Important: There is a water tank at the back of the house to ensure a smooth in-house water-supply. Guest access Guest will have access to the whole house. If the quantity of people is smaller than capacity, some rooms may be closed in order to avoid dust. Other things to note Important notes: 1- The electricity is very expensive in Nicaragua. Included in the price is a 10KWh electricity per day. If you exceed it you will be asked to pay the difference based on KWh cost. Please switch off the aircons when you are out of the rooms. 2- We call the attention of our guests that the Nicaraguayan government is very tough on drug consumption: the consumption of any drug (cocaine, LSD, marijuana,....) is totally forbidden in the house; if a guest does not respect this basic rule, we will call the police. 3- You are in a colonial district in an exotic country: you are kindly requested to remember you are hosted by the local people and maintain noise at an acceptable level. 4- the country is secure but you need to take care of your belongings such as jewels, celphone, money & passeports: there is a safe in the main room, please liaise with the house manager to get access to it. 5- there are 2 fire extinguishers, 1 on each floor
