The Red Roof Cottage in Cherry Log is a quaint, idyllic, secluded, one-level log cabin with split 2 bedroom/bath plan. Great for a family of 4 or 2 couples. It is close to everything, including hiking, Mercier Orchards, downtown Blue Ridge, and Ellijay. Located in an all log home community with access to the Benton MacKaye trail! We allow small dogs under 25# with a $100 non-refundable pet fee per animal, per stay. Larger dogs considered with pre-approval. The space The Red Roof Cottage features wide pine plank flooring, tongue and groove wood interior, mahogany stain, and red trim. There is a serene deck off the back of the cottage with lush forest views. Enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the birds or an evening glass of wine while listening to the sounds of nature. No highway noise here! Guest access The entire property is yours to enjoy. There is a wood-burning fire inside. We supply firewood for our guests. The full kitchen offers all you need to prepare and enjoy meals. A stackable washer/dryer is also available for use. *We do have two locked closets which are not available for access by guests.* Other things to note Check-in is quick and easy with wifi-enabled push-button check in. Occasionally the power goes out on Cherry Log Mountain. This is primarily during storms. If the power does go out, do not worry as it won’t be long before it comes back on. We have placed LED flashlights in both bedrooms for your convenience if an outage were to occur at night. The entire property is yours to use. That being said, we do have two locked “owner’s closets”. We promise there are no treasures or anything exciting in there, just extra supplies. We also have a locked crawl space area under the cabin. We also ask that you do not smoke in the cabin or on the porch. Our cleaning staff are meticulous, they disinfect all surfaces and leave the cabin spotless to the best of their ability. That being said, if you have any concerns about cleanliness, please contact us and we will personally discuss it with the cleaning staff. This is our first and only vacation rental and we truly wish for our guests to enjoy themselves as much as we do here. Please let us know if we can improve upon anything at the Red Roof Cottage. Important Safety Information: There are two fire extinguishers, one under the kitchen sink and one next to the fireplace. If you choose to start a fire in the fireplace, BE SURE TO OPEN THE FLUE DAMPER by sliding it (the metal ring) to the right. If you do not, the entire cabin will fill with smoke.
