Welcome to paradise! This stunning self-contained guest suite in sunny Saltair offers panoramic, unobstructed ocean and mountain views—with a charming peek at the City of Ladysmith. Tucked between Chemainus and Ladysmith, it provides a peaceful, private retreat while keeping you close to all local amenities. This self-contained guest suite offers stunning views of the ocean, mountains, and the town of Ladysmith, BC. Located on the lower level of a spacious, well-maintained home, the suite is completely private and fully separated from the main residence. Upon arrival, guests will access the suite via a set of stairs leading to a private entrance. A smart lock code will be provided after booking. Inside, you’ll enter the main common area—featuring a cozy pull-out couch, smart TV, mini fridge, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The pull-out couch can easily be folded up for use as a living area. A nearby closet includes hangers for your belongings. A short hallway leads to the private queen bedroom, which boasts two large ocean-facing windows, a small dresser, and a closet with hangers. The bed features a medium-firm pillow-top mattress with high-end linens to ensure a comfortable night’s rest. The bathroom is located just outside the bedroom and includes a tiled shower/bath combo. Please note, the suite does not have air conditioning. It is part of the main home’s central heating system and does not include its own thermostat. Heat is set to a comfortable 21°C, and adjustable wall vents allow you to fine-tune airflow. For extra warmth, space heaters are provided in each room. To cool down, simply lower the vents near the ocean-facing windows. The best part? You’re just 30 steps from the ocean. Head down the stairs to enjoy two relaxing outdoor seating areas: a picnic table (as shown in photos), and a cozy firepit surrounded by four Adirondack chairs. Feel free to gather driftwood from the beach and enjoy an evening fire right by the shoreline—an unforgettable way to end your day. This suite is perfect for a peaceful escape on Vancouver Island. With breathtaking views, private beach access, and thoughtful touches throughout, it’s a place you’ll love returning to. The owners have lovingly cared for this property over the years, and it shows. If you’re looking for a quiet coastal getaway with incredible scenery, this hidden Saltair gem is for you. Guest access Parking Information: Two parking spaces are included with your stay, located on the far right side of the driveway in front of the fencing that overlooks the ocean view. Please note: the driveway entrance is very narrow, and we recommend caution when entering. For easiest access, approach southbound on Chemainus Road (toward Chemainus). If you’re driving northbound (toward Ladysmith), continue past the property, turn around at the small bridge just beyond the home, and return heading south to enter the driveway more comfortably. If you’re not confident pulling in, you may park just past the property by the mailboxes along Chemainus Road—only a short walk to the suite.
