Our flat is only a few steps away from the historic centre, so you can reach restaurants, bars, pubs, supermarkets, a pharmacy and cinema in a minute. The beaches are very close and within walking distance, even with small children. My family and live in the same house and are available for help and advice during your stay. The space The flat is located a few dozen metres from the centre in our garden. You have two entrances, one of which is autonomous with an exit into the historic centre. The flat consists of a kitchen/living room with an adjoining bedroom and a bathroom with shower. You will also find a microwave, fridge, washing machine, iron, ironing board, folding clothes horse, gas cooker and all the necessary crockery, satellite TV, WIFI internet and air conditioning. The windows overlook the courtyard and garden, where you can enjoy the shade and scent of our mandarin, orange and lemon trees. You will also meet our cats Grinch, Flash and Gattochiatto who love to hang out in the garden. Ischia has always been famous for the many cats you see everywhere. Most likely you will not only meet our cats, but also some strays passing by. Cats, even house cats, are not allowed in the flat, but if you want to cuddle them or give them something to eat outside, they will thank you nicely. Ischia attracts tourists from all over the world for its sea and its extraordinary thermal heritage not only in summer but also in winter thanks to its mild climate. Forio's most beautiful beaches can be reached in 10 (Chiaia) or 20 (Cava, San Francesco) minutes on foot and the world-famous 'Poseidon' thermal park can be reached by bus in 5 minutes. Bars, restaurants and supermarkets are just a stone's throw away, yet it enjoys peace and quiet thanks to its location in the garden of a private house. Guest access The whole flat as well as the little lounge in the garden is at the exclusive disposal of the guests. If you like Mediterranean cuisine with its flavours and smells, you will be happy because you will have free access to our herb corner. You will find rosemary, thyme, marjoram, oregano, basil and two types of mint. In addition there are chives, parsley, celery and the herb par excellence for all fish dishes, lemon thyme. You can also take advantage of our fruit trees and taste medlars, oranges and lemons. And if you would like to taste the vegetables grown in the island's volcanic soil, I will gladly accompany you through the Saracen alleys to Carmelina and her husband. A farming couple who have been cultivating land in the centre for more than seventy years. In addition to vegetables, they will gladly share ancient recipes and tips on proper cooking. Other things to note On Ischia you can enjoy sun, beach and sea, but also beautiful scenery, architecturally interesting buildings, historical attractions and cultural monuments, and you can combine this with a spa holiday. Already the Greeks and Romans came to the island to utilise and enjoy the healing powers of nature. The Roman thermal baths were always in extraordinary locations, surrounded by gardens, not only great bathing establishments but also places to meet and read. On Ischia we find several thermal parks, all in exposed and beautiful locations, almost all directly on the sea, each fascinating in its own way.
