Lakefront cabin on Shadow Mountain Lake located in beautiful Grand Lake, Colorado. This 4,500 SF Cabin has vaulted 20 ft cedar wood ceilings with amazing lake and mountain views. Multiple decks with seating that includes a private Hot Tub overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake and RMNP mountains. The cabin offers the warm feeling of a rustic lodge with the characteristics of old Grand Lake charm. Three levels in the cabin. 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Sleeps 14. There are two main entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is the East entrance and Grand Lake is the West entrance. *This Cabin is located in Grand Colorado, not Estes Park. Please note before booking!* MAIN FLOOR: The layout of the home is perfect for families and entertaining. The kitchen, dining and living room are an open floor plan with amazing views of the beautiful Colorado Rockies. Bedroom with 2 Queen size beds and bathroom on the main floor. UPPER FLOOR: The Upper Level offers guests a loft area for good family game time. The MASTER SUITE features a King Size log bed and additional Queen bed, stone fireplace, private balcony with breath taking views of Shadow Mountain Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. The master bath has a large soaker tub and shower. Shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash provided in all bathrooms. BOTTOM FLOOR: There are 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom downstairs and a family room with TV and large leather sectional. There is also an additional kitchen area with small refrigerator, microwave and oven which is perfect for guests with larger families. BEDROOM 1 : Master Bedroom on Upper Floor with a King Size log bed with Master Bedroom. Adding additional Queen bed end of April 2024. BEDROOM 2: Main Floor 2 Queen Size log beds with Bedroom. BEDROOM 3: Bottom Floor offers 2 Queen Size log beds with direct access to lower deck and hot tub. BEDROOM 4: Bottom Floor offers 2 Single Size log beds. BOTTOM FLOOR BATHROOM: offers guest 2 vanities and larger shower. Outside parking for up to 4 cars is available. Cabin 4,990 square foot Sleeps : 12 Bedrooms: 4 Bathrooms: 3 *Boat dock: Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and inflatable boats all ok to bring! Personal watercraft like speed boats and pontoon boats will not be permitted at the house for safety and liability issues. There are several marinas close by to rent as well as places park your personal boat if you bring a boat. STR Permit STR22-00778 Entire home Noelle is available to assist and lives locally full time in Grand Lake. Minutes to downtown Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain national park. This lakefront community offers a warm and welcoming community with historical charm. Bison Lodge is located off Hwy 34 (Trail Ridge Road) just a couple miles from historic Grand Lake and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Approx. a 5-7minute drive. 4x4 /AWD required in winter months. Car needed to get around otherwise as there is no ride share service or public transportation. Things to Note before booking! **There is no A/C in the mountains. The Cabin does not have air conditioning. The cabin is South facing and can get hot during peak summer months. We provide ceiling and portable fans as well as blinds to shield the rooms. **There are seasonal factors to consider when booking. There are two mud seasons/shoulder seasons in the Mountains. Loosely from mid-October to late-November and mid/late-April to mid/late-May. During these times of year activities can be limited including many restaurants closed. Peak Season: May-September Peak Holidays/Times: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and March Spring Break. Pricing is reflective of the time of year. Please consider seasonality and research Grand Lake prior to booking to ensure this is the best time of year for you to visit! * Parking for 4 vehicles max **There is no boat dock. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and inflatable boats all ok to bring! Personal watercraft like speed boats and pontoon boats will not be permitted at the house for safety and liability issues. There are several marinas close by to rent as well as places park your personal boat if you bring a boat. *If you are bringing young children there are open stairs leading to all levels of the home. *No pets allowed. To Visit any area of Rocky Mountain National Park you will need a reservation May 26th-October 22nd Park Access Timed Entry Permits are required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park between the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. MDT. After entering the park with your Park Access Timed Entry Permit, visitors may exit and re-enter the park at any time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. This is a private residence and not a hotel. This is a log home on the water. Dust and spiders are common and can accumulate extremely quickly. Please be aware of this during your stay This is a family owned cabin that is rented out while it’s not being used by the family. We do our absolute best to make it feel like a luxury, clean, hotel type oasis. We will do everything to accommodate you if something is broken, missing or in need of attention while you are staying in the cabin. Thank you for considering our home. Championship golf courses, horseback riding and hayrides. World Class Theater located right in Town of Grand lake, boutique shopping, good restaurants, and fun on the boardwalk. Local Winter Activities: downhill skiing and snowboarding at Ski Granby Ranch (20 miles away) and at Winter Park Ski Area (35 minutes away), cross country skiing (3 areas nearby). Grand Lake is snowmobiling capital of Colorado enjoy more than 130 miles of groomed trails, ice fishing, ice skating, Winter Carnivals, sleigh rides, dog sledding, and snowshoeing. 4x4 orAWD is required in winter months - weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We cannot accommodate weather-related refunds or changes, please plan accordingly. Lake is typically frozen November-March, melting and muddy conditions April/early May. Grand County noise ordinance is from 7 PM to 7am No fires in the fire pit after 9 PM. There are local fire restrictions in town so make sure you are keeping up with that during your stay. Grand Lake and the national park experience at devastating wildfire in 2020 so this is to protect all parties involved!
