Nestled on the southern end of the Island, this spacious cottage offers a serene and idyllic getaway for families, couples, or friends seeking a peaceful retreat. With 3 cozy bedrooms and 4 beds, at approx. 2200 sq feet, the cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests. Step outside and immerse yourself in the beauty of the lake and enjoy the soothing sounds of nature from the comfort of the cottage. Take a leisurely paddle on the two adult sit on kayaks and one child's kayak, or pedal boat provided, and explore the beautiful waters. Challenge the family to a game of horseshoes, washer toss, cornhole, Yardzee, or Farkle, and in the evenings, relax by the firepit roasting marshmallows. The screened in gazebo next to the deck provides a perfect spot to unwind with a book or simply take in the panoramic views of the lake. The cottage is southern facing therefore allowing the most hours of sunlight throughout the day. Due to its positioning, the cottage also remains quite cool throughout the summer eliminating the need for an a/c unit. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook in and there is also a BBQ on the deck with supplied propane for your use also. St. Joseph Island is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with ample opportunities for fishing, swimming, hiking, and biking. Explore the island's scenic trails, or visit nearby attractions such as Fort St. Joseph and Adcock's Woodland Gardens. We want you to be happy with your choice of accommodations for your trip :-) Guest access Plenty of room in the driveway to park. Lots of space if you intend to tow a boat to launch in one of the nearby docks. To access the cottage there are three steps up onto the deck of the main entrance. Inside the cottage is stair free. The property does have some unlevel terrain. The workshop located in the back of the garage is locked. This small room is the only area that guests are not permitted in. Other things to note Note our location on St. Joseph Island prior to booking: Once you reach the Island, you have a bit of a drive still as the cottage is on the other end in Jocelyn Township. It is about 20-25 mins from the two small towns on the Island and about 50 mins from Sault Ste. Marie. The beach water is a mixture of sand and rock therefore we highly recommend wearing water shoes in the water for your utmost comfort! The Wi-Fi and Bell satellite dish all normally run very well. However, we cannot guarantee that there will not be interruptions due to being in a rural area and/or weather which may affect these services.
