This romantic & family-friendly lakefront chalet comes with a private beach, hot tub, kayaks & stunning views and is packed with amenities. It’s a serene home base to explore some of the best New England towns and is in the heart of the Lakes Region. Swim, kayak, bike a scenic trail, fish, hike, explore historic towns, farms & food scene, or simply grill with a view & play board games. We have poured our heart into making this a romantic yet very kid-friendly retreat (kids gear included). COZY CHALET WITH HOT TUB - CLOSE TO SKIING AND SNOW TUBING WINTER INFO: Many of our guests say the house is the destination in itself, but there is so much to do nearby if your heart so desires: - 25 min to Gunstock Mountain with fun year round activities, including: -> Skiing one of Gunstock Mountains' 49 trails. Gunstock also offers great and affordable ski lessons for all ages -> Snow tubing the longest trail run in NH -> Gondola ride to top of Gunstock, ziplining -> Cozy winter restaurants and bar options after a day of adventures (Ellacoya Barn and Grill, etc.) - Charming New England towns and many scenic areas nearby with captivating views, small shops, and local artisan food (Wolfeboro, Gilford, Meredith) - 15 min to Alton Bay (a great place for a scenic stroll with mountain views, observing ice fisherman, and local food) - The house is a also a perfect base for one day trips to Ice Castles, the historic town of Portsmouth, Castle in the Clouds, and other regional favorites THE HOUSE: • Three bedroom house comfortably sleeps 6: two bedrooms with queen beds, one with a full-sized bed • Fully renovated top to bottom offering all the modern amenities • Open concept living area with floor-to-ceiling windows offer captivating lake views year-round • Kitchen equipped with all cooking necessities, coffee, tea, cooking oil, basic spices • Wood burning stove and board games make for cozy evenings • Smart TV with complimentary access to Amazon Prime and Netflix • High-speed Wi-Fi and an office desk for remote work • Family-friendly with complimentary high chair, pack and play, dish ware, kids life vests, toys, books, board games, black-out curtains, one level living (no stairs indoors), full temperature control, central A/C, and kids' step stool • Premium towels and linens; blow dryer; washer and dryer OUTDOOR AREA: - Recently added 5 person hot tub is the best place to unwind from the day - Lakefront property with 100 feet of private beach (Locke Lake) and scenic year round views. - Enjoy winter strolls, watching local kids ice skate on the frozen lake and the charming ice fishing huts. Beautiful fireworks visible from the house on New Year's Eve and 4th of July. • Outdoor fire pit with year round seating for everyone • Grill/ Cook as you enjoy the views or sip morning coffee on a wooden swing • Wrap around deck with scenic lake views SPRING/ SUMMER INFO: - 2 Kayaks, 1 paddle board, beach toys, floaties and life vests are included Mid April - End of October (one double kayak/ one single kayak/ one paddle board) - Entry into the water is gradual and great for little ones - Wrap around deck with lake views and dining table to enjoy sunsets - Floating dock/platform fun for families; plenty of fish in the lake - In addition to your private beach, there are many nearby beaches, restaurants, bike trails, zip lines, scenic gondola, wineries, playgrounds, kids adventures, boat rides, sunset cruises and so much more - 15 min to the famous Mt Major trail and multiple other breathtaking hikes, that range from challenging to very easy/family friendly. - Quiet and private area yet close to all the local adventures PLEASE NOTE: - Please Note: In the summer, we typically offer Saturday to Saturday bookings; If you need different days, please reach out to us to discuss and we'll do our best to accommodate - The house is equipped with a power generator - THIS IS A PET-FREE HOME: we cannot accommodate pets due to our toddler’s severe allergies - The house includes smoke, carbon monoxide, and gas detectors, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit - Per insurance requirements, there is an outdoor security camera which is only facing the outdoor area/driveway. The neighborhood is very safe and family friendly - All high-traffic areas and surfaces are disinfected in addition to the standard cleaning protocol Guest access • Self-check-in with access code • Parking for up to 6 vehicles in the driveway (best to limit to 4)
