BURNT KEY is a beautiful 4 acre garden lodge between river and jungle. It is situated between Livingston and Rio Dulce in a calm and safe bay, only accessible by boat! Your wooden bungalow on poles at the riverside just behind the docks of our marina is equipped with linen, blanket, towels, soap and enough hangers for your clothes. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in our spacious communal palapa. We only use unprocessed and fresh ingredients. The space You will find an amazing natural and well maintained garden behind the facade of the mangrove covered riverside surrounded by jungle mountains, little creeks to explore, small fishing villages with parrots flying over your head and great sunsets every day! Our bungalows are spread over the place and reachable via trails. We offer: 2 wooden bungalows at the riverside with porch and shared bathroom for $29 each 1 concrete bungalow in the garden with private bathroom for $55 2 concrete apartments in the YOGA HOUSE with private bathroom and patio for $55 each In our communal palapa we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner prices range from 80 to 100Q. We use only quality products such as olive oil, organic butter, organic farm eggs, raw milk available upon request. Attractions: We have two single kayaks that you can use free of charge. You will need to coordinate the sharing with other guests though. You can explore the nearby lagoons, hot spring, sulfur cave or manatees reserve. From the riverside, where the sailboats are docked, you can walk up the hill to have a great overview over the area. Each accommodation has its own porch but you are welcome to use our big palapa as communal space to escape the heat of the day, to have some communication with a refreshing drink, play a game of pool billiard or a board game, watch the boats or flora and fauna or just hang out in a rocking chair or hammock. We have no communal kitchen. Other things to note We only accept cash in Quetzales. Internet access is limited due to remote location.
