Forest house Tatra for 12, T. Štrba

Small cottage Tatra is located in the High Tatras NP forest in the altitude of 950 meters. Situated in Tatranska Strba, 4 national parks - High, Low, Western Tatras and Slovak Paradise are good accessible. The house is located next to the big house Tatra only 20 min. walk from Strba train station and 10 min. from the cog railway stop. The house offers 6 rooms with bathrooms - 3 with double beds and 3 with 2 beds, as well as a living room, kitchen and terrace. We speak English. The space The small house has six rather small rooms, three of them with double beds (beds width 140 cm) and three room with twin beds. Two rooms have a balcony. All rooms feature a private bathroom with shower. There is a cabinet, wall shelves and wall hanger in each room. There is a large common (and dining) room with a chimney and a large kitchen in the small cottage. It has a room for bikes and skis and an entrance hall. A large wooden terrace with seating in the summer and a large meadow are accessible from the common room. There is also a fireplace outside the house. A meadow with fireplace located between our 2 houses, is an attractive place for groups and families with children. Guest room with traditional oven, quiet place in the forest and environment round the house ensure you ideal relax. You can observe forest animals in the neighbourhood of the houses, as squirrels, in exceptional case also a bear. There are cross-country-ski loops in winter. In summer, the houses are ideal starting point for trekking/hiking and MTB. The staff speaking English, German, Spanish and Italian and is at your disposal. Information about conditions, assistance in preparing a tour, recommendations of experienced mountain guide and tourist guide are included in price of accommodation! There is a possibility to use the guest room for 25-28 people for various workshops, working, retreats or family meetings. The guest room is directly connected with the kitchen, so can be used as well as a dining room. We can provide a flip chart. Traditional looking oven and large windows to the forest emphasise the home, cosy atmosphere. Provided you book the accommodation, the guest room is available for free. 10 minutes of walking there is a funicular stop that brings you in few minutes to the skiing and cross-country-skiing centre Štrbské Pleso (1350 m). 20 minutes of walking there is railway station Strba that links Tatranská Štrba with Bratislava. Access to the houses is simple, and parking lot is common for both houses (limited capacity). Pets allowed - small to middle sized - max 2, for a surcharge Guest access Access to all the building less roof space and 1 (of 2) pantry (private) and 2 bathrooms (private). We offer washing service for a fee (the washing machine is not free to use, we will wash for you). Shoe dryers, clothes dryers,hair dryer, kitchen towels and dish soap, dishwasher, additional blankets in the rooms, towels, soap are available to guests. In summer, there are hanging hammocks, a fireplace and a meadow between the cottages available for you. There is also finnish sauna (for a surcharge). Sauna is located in the big house and it is not free to use. Only by staying 5+ nights there is 1 entrance to the sauna free. Guests have to notify their intention to go to sauna at least one day in advance. Other things to note As we do not have 24-hour reception, the accommodation is possible till 9 pm. We would like to ask the guests to contact us at least 1 day before their arrival to communicate us approx.time of arrival. We can accommodate you till 10,30 pm for a fee. Thank you!
