My log home close to town feels remote. The private Twin Room is located upstairs with views of the rising sun through the birch forest. Twin Room has 2 twin beds, a desk, chairs and books. My place is full of history and stories about Alaska conservation. We are good for adventurers, UAF visitors, business travelers, and you! The space You might see red fox, moose or birds, and when lucky in winter - the aurora. My house is only 15 minutes (7 miles) from the Fairbanks International Airport and 3 miles from the University of Alaska. You can hike or ski the birch woods, catch a trail for human power to UAF, bus at Farmer's Loop Road, try taxi or I can pick you up at the airport for a small fee. Guest access You will have use of the front porch, living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom and basement with laundry and space for gear sorting, etc. The first floor is wheelchair accessible with a ramp and bathroom but the bedrooms upstairs are not. The basement is wheelchair accessible from the driveway. During your stay This is a room in my log home. The upstairs where Twin Room is located is private for the guests. You share the rest of the cabin (living / dining room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and outside space. I love sharing our great community and the boreal forest.
