Riad O2 an Authentic Moroccan Riad (House)

Elegant traditional architecture meets modern design in this peaceful oasis with 6 bedrooms, a jacuzzi-pool, hammam and a large sunny roof-terrace . The riad is suitable for 12 adults and 2/3 children. Staff on site 24 hours: during the day, the manager who will help you organise your stay, our cook and a housekeeper, at night Hassan who stays overnight on the property and works also as a waiter. Riad O2 is not a self catering property. The space Riad O2 offers boutique style accommodation in the heart of the Medina, or old quarter of Marrakech. A riad is a traditional Moroccan house built around a central patio. A very large roof terrace,jacuzzi-pool, hammam, spa treatments and great cuisine await you in this haven of peace and tranquility just a stroll away from the Souks, Medersa Ben Youssef and Djema El Fna Square. The Riad has 6 chic, comfortable, individually decorated guestrooms fusing modern design and traditional Moroccan architecture. Why not stretch out on the sun-loungers and take the sun on the roof terrace. In the evening, enjoy delicious Moroccan cuisine, served either on the patio, roof terrace or in the dining-room. There will always be staff present at Riad O2: during the day, Moad the manager who will help you organise your stay, the 2 Rachidas for housekeeping and to prepare meals, Hassan arrives around pm. he will serve dinner/drinks and stay in the riad overnight. Guest access Riad O2 guests have access to the jacuzzi, hammam, central patio and rooftop terrace at all times. The jacuzzi is available to guests up to 10pm.. Riad O2 is not a self catering property and there are housekeeping staff at the property all day and a night watchman/waiter who stays overnight. Children must be supervised in the jacuzzi and are not allowed in the hammam. Other things to note Breakfast is included and consists of delicious, homemade Moroccan pancakes, fresh orange juice, tea or coffee bread and a selection of jams. Eggs and omelettes are also available on request with a supplement. Dinner and lunch are served everyday(advance reservation needed) from fresh produce sourced directly from the local morning market and can be eaten on the roof terrace or central patio. One large bottle of mineral water per day is provided free in each bedroom. There is a hairdryer and an iron available at reception. There is a safe at reception for guests to use. There is a local tourism tax of 8Dh and a tourist promotion tax of 15Dh payable per guest per night at the property for all guests over the age of 12. The local tourist taxes amount to 23Dh per night per person. Payments with credit or debit cards incur a 3.5% additional charge. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Here are the details of the bedrooms in the main riad: -the H2O room: located on the ground floor, with either a large double bed or 2 single beds, a sitting area, and a bathroom with shower -the Touem room: with 2 separate single beds, a lovely little balcony overlooking the main patio and a bathroom with shower -the Chewing-Gum room: with a large double bed and a bath/shower in an open bathroom -the Oeuf suite: with a double bed and unique over-sized egg bath tub in the bedroom -the Sable room: with either a large double bed or 2 separate beds with a shower bathroom an extra additional mattress could be placed in this room for a child. -the 1001 Nuits suite: it has a large double bed as well as a single sofa bed with a shower bathroom en suite. We can also add 1 or 2 mattresses to the room. The room opens to its own private patio on the first floor Advice: we would like to remind you that Morocco is a Muslim country, therefore as a mark of respect for its inhabitants it is highly recommended to avoid short dresses and shorts, as well as bare belly, low-cut tops, or anything too revealing (especially in the old city). Also it is very inappropriate to eat or smoke in the street in the daytime during the month of Ramadan (dates vary every year ).
