Located next to the original General Store in the village of Buckland, the cottage was the shopkeeper's residence. The Storekeeper's is operated by Twamley Farm. The farm is just a short drive from The Storekeeper's, where as a guest you have full access to wander amongst the historic buildings, walk or mountain bike. The space The cottage has two elegant queen size bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen with gourmet mini bar, breakfast provisions, Nespresso coffee pod machine and gourmet pre-prepared meals on hand. The Storekeeper's sleeps four people and is perfect for one or two couples. Guest access The Storekeeper's is a fully self-contained cottage. You will enjoy full private access to the property and surrounding garden and courtyard areas. The courtyard contains a gas BBQ for your use and outdoor fire pot. Other things to note The Storekeeper's is situated in the sleepy main street of Buckland, with the Buckland Inn only a few doors away in Kent Street. The Buckland Inn serves old fashioned counter meals, local Tasmanian beers on tap and you can buy wine and beer to take home. There is a public EV charging station at the front of The Storekeepers that is listed on PlugShare - 1 x Type 2 Plug tethered with Cable (22kW max). The Buckland Store is just across the road and sells basic groceries and snacks. There is an IGA supermarket located at Orford about 15 minutes up the road or stop at Sorell if you are travelling from Hobart for any additional supplies you might need. Orford has the first vineyeard on the East Coast wine route, Darlington Vineyard. Their cool climate Pinot Noir is excellent and is definitely worth a visit to pick up a few bottles.
