A quiet lodging near Kinkakuji and Daitokuji

This house is located in a quiet town between Daitokuji-temple (Head quarter of Rinzaishu Buddhism sect) and Funaokayama mountain which used to be possessed by Daitokuji in Edo era. There is a big ground of primary school across the street and sunlight through the trees comes to second floor rooms. You can enjoy peace and quiet time in my house. The space This house is certified by Kyoto city as traditional Kyoto Machiya. The beam at the ceiling of second floor has really historical atmosphere. I renovated the kitchen, bath room and toilet so you can stay comfortably. Daitokuji-temple is just a corner away. It takes about 5min ride by bus to Kinkakuji-temple. Good access to northern part of Kyoto sightseeing spots such as Daimonji-mountain and Koetsuji-temple. You can also take a morning walk in Daitokuji-temple huge precinct. The street with bamboo grove would make you feel like tripping to another world.
