In a renovated historic log cabin, there is a used bookshop offering quality used books in most genres. Next door, there is the Mermaid Café that serves lunch and dinner. Upstairs is the Mermaid B&B in a charming Victorian style construction--it is well appointed and features local artwork. In a private, wooded setting in Old Town, Homer, the Mermaid B&B offers a scenic, clean place to stay with a queen sized Posturepedic bed in the bedroom and a full sized fold-out futon in the living room. The dining room is in the turret with windows looking out over Kachemak Bay and the mountains and glaciers beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything one needs to prepare meals.
